Production Coordinator, Social Media Publishing About the Role We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Coordinator to support social media publishing, editorial operations, and content production across multiple digital channels. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring content is published accurately and on schedule while maintaining brand standards across a diverse portfolio of social media properties. The ideal candidate is passionate about social media, experienced in content publishing for large brands, and skilled at adapting messaging for different audiences and platforms. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, collaborating across teams, and supporting sensitive communications when needed. Key Responsibilities Publish and manage content across Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, and LinkedIn Perform quality assurance reviews on all content and creative assets before publication Maintain and update editorial calendars, publishing schedules, and content trackers Support editorial planning and content scheduling across multiple channels Manage digital assets, media libraries, and archival processes Update team documentation, workflows, and operational resources Write, edit, and adapt copy to align with established brand voice and audience needs Provide clear and constructive feedback on creative assets and content deliverables Support crisis communications and escalation workflows, including monitoring and routing sensitive social media comments Coordinate with external vendors, agency partners, and internal stakeholders Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams including Communications, Marketing, Community Engagement, Policy, and other business partners Utilize AI-powered tools to improve content production, workflow efficiency, and publishing processes Manage projects and publishing requests through project management systems such as JIRA Required Qualifications 4+ years of social media publishing, content production, or digital content operations experience Experience supporting publishing efforts for a large brand, media organization, or social media-focused business Deep expertise with Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, and LinkedIn publishing best practices Strong copywriting and editing skills with the ability to write within a defined brand voice Strong understanding of current social media trends and platform behaviors Experience using AI tools to support content creation, publishing workflows, or operational efficiency Familiarity with editorial calendars, asset management systems, and content production processes Experience working with project management tools; JIRA experience is preferred Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting marketing communications initiatives Exposure to crisis communications, issue management, or escalation workflows Interest in technology infrastructure, data centers, AI infrastructure, or related technical industries Experience translating technical subject matter into engaging content for broad audiences Ability to operate effectively with limited resources while maintaining high-quality output What Makes You Successful You are highly organized and proactive You thrive in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities You have a strong eye for detail and quality control You can balance creative thinking with operational execution You are comfortable collaborating across diverse teams and functions You bring a strong understanding of social media culture, content trends, and audience engagement strategies Work Environment This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the intersection of content, communications, technology, and digital publishing while contributing to high-visibility social media programs that reach broad audiences. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
