About the Position
The Production Management Associate will focus on pre-production and production support across the organization. This position is perfect for an individual with entry-level video production experience, an interest in producing digital videos, strong time management and a desire to learn in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Core Responsibilities
Assist Video Producers and the Production Management team with the creation of longform videos
Assist the Production Coordinator with securing locations, crew, gear rentals and coordinate other relevant shoot logistics.
Along with the Production Coordinator, own the operational side of production, including production calendars and schedules, budget tracking and purchase orders, vendor communication and production documentation.
Coordinate and communicate information about shoots, including technical specifications and schedules between MPU production staff and production crew.
Helping track footage and production assets after shoots, liaising with crew for any missing assets
Performing administrative duties
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet expected deadlines
Maintain high standard of work in a nimble, fast paced environment
Perform other duties as assigned
Experience/Qualifications
1-3 years experienced in on-set video production and pre-production;
Experience on digital video productions;
Basic camera knowledge;
Experience with Adobe Premiere desired;
Documentary, journalism, and/or political experience;
Producing, scripting, research or development experience a plus;
Familiarity with national politics and labor issues;
A passion for economic justice and workers rights;
Strong understanding of social media, email etiquette and exceptional interpersonal communication skills;
Studied or currently studying in journalism, communications, film, marketing, public relations or related field;
Available full-time hours and able to excel in a remote/work from home environment;
