JOIN US Location: Berlin Reports to: Head of Production & Planning Type: Fixed-term, 1-year contract (5 days per week) Start: November 2026 Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Please include salary expectations in your application. Overview LAS Art Foundation is seeking a Production Manager to join its Production team and support the delivery of the 2026–2027 programme. Working closely with Head of Production & Planning and the wider Production team, the Production Manager supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of exhibitions, installations, and public events. They ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standard. This is a varied, hands-on role that combines project management with on-site production. The Production Manager manages relationships with artists, partners, vendors, and contractors, coordinates production logistics, and manages exhibition installation, maintenance, and deinstallation. During exhibition periods and events, they will also support the smooth day-to-day running of exhibitions, including maintenance and upkeep of our projects. The ideal candidate is highly organised, detail-oriented, proactive, adaptable, and enjoys working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends during exhibition installation periods and public programmes. WHAT YOU DO Project Management Lead and manage projects from planning through installation, run of show and deinstallation Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, resources, tasks Monitor project progress and communicate updates to internal teams and stakeholders Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting Budget & Administration Scope, manage & close-out project budgets Track expenses, approve invoices and monitor project expenditure Prepare final project reports and reconciliation of project budgets Production & Delivery Draft, coordinate & execute production & staffing schedules, logistics and installation programs Plan, manage & oversee on-site set-up and dismantling for installations, events and deinstallation Develop call sheets, run of show and production schedules Ensure projects meet health, safety and accessibility requirements Contracts & Governance Draft, review and manage project-related contracts and agreements, consultancy agreements, supplier contracts and other project documentation Track contract status, key milestones, deliverables and expiry dates, ensuring all agreements are executed, filed and managed in accordance with LAS policies and project requirements Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure contractual obligations, approvals and documentation are completed accurately and on time Stakeholder & Vendor Management Act as the main production contact for artists, venues and project partners Build and manage relationships with contractors, suppliers and freelancers Source quotations, negotiate services and oversee external contractors Team Collaboration Work closely with Curatorial, Production, Operations and Communications teams throughout each project Coordinate meetings, assign actions and ensure clear communication across teams Support collaborative problem solving and timely decision making WHO YOU ARE Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 6 years experience in production and/or project management within the arts, culture, creative industries, technology, or related sectors Strong understanding of production workflows, project timelines, budgeting, and cost management Familiarity with exhibition production processes, including materials, AV, lighting, fabrication, and technical requirements Ability to read and interpret floor plans, technical drawings, and production documentation Experience coordinating external vendors, contractors, and multi-stakeholder projects. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and work effectively under pressure Skills & Competencies Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving production environment Professionalism, discretion, and confidence working within sensitive, high-profile, or public-facing environments Fluency in German and English (written and spoken) is essential Proficiency in Google Workspace and project management tools such as Asana (or similar platforms) Familiarity with design and technical software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Figma is an advantage Knowledge or interest in creative technology (AR/VR, AI, Web3, blockchain, etc.) Experience with technical or creative tools like OpenFrameworks, TouchDesigner, Unity/Unreal WHAT TO EXPECT We are committed to fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented work culture.
