We’re looking for an ambitious and detail-driven Production Planner to play a pivotal role in our Operations team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this full-time permanent role carries a high level of autonomy and accountability, with responsibility for ensuring the manufacturing operation has the right materials available at the right time so products can be made efficiently and delivered to customers on schedule. Every day will be different in the role of Production Planner here at Kerakoll. You’ll balance customer demand, production capacity, material availability and inventory levels while minimising cost and avoiding production delays. You’ll work closely with Production, Maintenance, QC, Procurement, Commercial and wider cross-functional teams to create practical plans, resolve issues early and keep the business moving. This role offers the chance to: Own the creation and communication of the soft production plan and weekly production plan. Influence business decisions through accurate data, SAP/MRP insight and clear planning recommendations. Drive meaningful improvements in production plan adherence, material availability, inventory accuracy and master data quality. Play a visible role in S&OP and Integrated Business Planning conversations, helping align traded product, packaging, raw material and production requirements with UK demand. What You’ll be Doing at Kerakoll Defining weekly production plans based on line capacity, stock levels and average daily sales. Collaborating regularly with Production, Maintenance and QC teams to ensure plans reflect operative availability, planned maintenance and quality requirements before release. Communicating production plans clearly to Procurement and Commercial teams, including through weekly S&OP discussions. Analysing demand, forecasts, customer orders, stock levels and material requirements to support effective production and procurement planning. Generating and maintaining material plans within SAP, reviewing MRP recommendations and converting them into executable production and procurement actions. Monitoring inventory levels to ensure material availability while minimising excess, obsolete stock and avoidable cost. Maintaining planning master data, including lead times, safety stock, planning parameters and BOM accuracy. Identifying planning exceptions, system inaccuracies, supply risks and capacity constraints, recommending corrective actions where needed. Supporting new product introductions by ensuring planning data is set up accurately from the outset. What you’ll Bring to Kerakoll We’re looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with a proactive, improvement-focused mindset. You will ideally have: Experience in production planning, material planning or manufacturing processes within a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of SAP planning tools or modules, ERP systems and exposure to MRP planning. Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, bills of materials, lead times, safety stock and planning parameters. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyse data and translate it into clear, actionable planning decisions. Excellent communication skills and confidence working cross-functionally with Production, Procurement, Commercial, QC, Maintenance and wider business stakeholders. A strong eye for detail, commitment to data accuracy and ability to maintain robust planning master data. A proactive improvement mindset, with the confidence to identify planning issues, recommend corrective actions and help document standard planning procedures and best practice. Success in this role will be measured through production plan adherence, material availability, inventory accuracy, effective use of SAP and MRP recommendations, and the accuracy of planning master data.
