Description The Opportunity Ulteig is looking for a highly engaged and qualified candidate for our Program Manager – Owner’s Engineering position in the Energy Solutions department. This role can be remote or in any of our office locations and will focus on leading the renewables-focused project management and technical teams in fostering on-the-job leadership development, encouraging additional and efficient team growth, and assume primary responsibility for the execution and delivery of all of Ulteig’s Owner’s Engineering projects. The duties will include management and development of supervisors and project team members, leading and directing the project managers assigned to the work, program life cycle management, coordination with internal and external program stakeholders, resource coordination and management of team financial targets and goals. This individual will report directly to the Associate Director of Energy Solutions, interacting closely with stakeholders throughout the department and corporate business units such as Service Departments, Client Solutions, and Shared Services. The Program Manager – Owner’s Engineer is a self-starting leader who will provide primary oversight for the execution of the work in this Lifeline Sector. What You’ll Do Management Responsibilities - 40% Provide strategic direction, leadership, and oversight for team members on achieving individual, team, department, and organizational performance goals. Coach, mentor, train, and develop project management supervisors and PMs for growth and development opportunities. Facilitate team meetings and actively manage team resource planning. Perform individual performance reviews, training and professional development for team members. Work collaboratively with Client Solutions team and Program leads to maintain a high level of client service and resolve both project and non-project related issues. Participate and partner with members of the Client Solutions team and Program leads to promote revenue growth and expansion of services on the Owner’s Engineering team. Support proposal efforts by developing, providing resources, and reviewing proposals by working with the Proposal Development Team, Technical Services group, and other departments. Program Management Activities - 40% Lead program strategy alignment, benefits management, governance, and growth of the Owner’s Engineering team. Maintain program documentation in an organized manner that facilitates efficient utilization by program team members. Facilitate program-level meetings to communicate important information to program team resources, or to discuss and update the program management plan. Management of subcontractor engagement, contracting, relationships, and performance reviews. Invest in continuous process improvement driving effective and efficient project execution. Business Development Responsibilities – 20% Work collaboratively with the Client Team Leads (CTL’s) and AD’s to maintain a high level of client service and resolve both project and non-project related issues. Participate in Client Solutions CTL meetings. Engage with select client stakeholders to discuss evolving opportunities and offer potential solutions to known issues. Maintain positive client relationships with all clients contracting for Ulteig’s OE services Additional duties may include tasks beyond what is listed, such as special projects, assisting colleagues, or new initiatives. A willingness to adapt to changing priorities and support team efforts enhances collaboration and growth opportunities. What We Expect from You Bachelor's in project management, construction management, or engineering management (or related field) from an ABET-accredited university. 10+ years of experience, preferably with several years managing utility-scale projects PMP or higher/equivalent certification preferred. Experience in leading, managing, and developing other Project Management Professionals Must be analytical, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, and collaborative attitude. Proficiency in project controls (scheduling and cost control) utilizing Microsoft Project Professional and/or Primavera P6. Strong analytic and information management skills. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, client, public, and external agencies. High level of initiative and demonstrated ability to manage multiple endeavors with clear expectations and timeliness. Excellent presentation and verbal/written communications skills. Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and additional software knowledge depending on specialty.
