ORGANIZATION SUMMARY World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world’s greatest crises in partnership with the church. Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy. POSITION SUMMARY: World Relief seeks a Program of Initial Resettlement (PIR) Supervisor who will provide leadership and oversight for the daily operations of the Program of Initial Resettlement, ensuring high-quality, client-centered services for refugees and other eligible populations during their first 90 days in the United States. This position supervises and supports a team of resettlement staff, ensures compliance with federal and organizational policies, monitors program performance, and fosters strong partnerships with community stakeholders. The PIR Supervisor is responsible for guiding staff in delivering comprehensive case management, coordinating reception and placement services, resolving complex client situations, and promoting timely progress toward client self-sufficiency. This role is based out of the Austin office. This is a hybrid role- 3 days a week in office; 2 work from home. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: This role is responsible for supervising others and includes responsibilities consistent with supervising employees, including but not limited to monitoring daily work activities, tracking and approving timesheets including approving time off, monitoring performance including entering goals, progress check-ins, and weekly or bi-weekly check-ins, documenting performance concerns, entering staff promotions, transitions, and separations in HRIS within required time frame. Managers at World Relief are also considered spiritual leaders and are expected to lead staff in a manner consistent with our Christian values, including but not limited to praying with staff, leading devotionals, and fostering a Christian environment in interactions with staff throughout World Relief. Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop a team of Program of Initial Resettlement staff through regular individual supervision, performance feedback, and professional development. Foster a collaborative, supportive, and mission-driven team culture that promotes accountability, continuous learning, and high-quality client services. Conduct staff performance evaluations, establish performance goals, address performance concerns, and recognize employee achievements. Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new staff, ensuring they are equipped to successfully fulfill their roles and understand program requirements. Provide ongoing case consultation and guidance on complex client situations, helping staff identify appropriate solutions while promoting sound professional judgment. Monitor staff workloads and caseload distribution to ensure equitable assignments and timely service delivery. Support staff in prioritizing responsibilities, managing competing deadlines, and navigating challenging client situations. Lead regular team meetings, facilitate communication across departments, and ensure staff remain informed of policy updates, organizational initiatives, and program changes. Identify staff training needs and coordinate learning opportunities to strengthen technical knowledge, case management skills, and leadership development. Promote employee engagement, well-being, and retention by fostering open communication, providing regular support, and encouraging professional growth. Ensure staff maintain accurate documentation and comply with grant, organizational, and regulatory requirements through coaching, case reviews, and quality assurance. Serve as the primary point of escalation for staff questions, client concerns, and operational challenges, providing timely guidance and support. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Mature and personal Christian faith Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs , Statement of Faith , Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document Valid drivers license, access to reliable vehicle and ability to pass MVR standards Passion for serving refugees and other vulnerable populations while equipping the local Church to welcome and empower these communities. Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, International Studies, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in refugee resettlement, case management, or a related human services field. Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn electronic case management systems. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of refugee resettlement services, case management practices, and applicable federal, state, and organizational policies. Strong leadership, coaching, and supervisory skills, with the ability to develop staff, manage performance, and foster a collaborative team environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse cultures and with community partners. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
