Educate Girls partners with communities and government school systems across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar to ensure children—especially girls—enroll, stay in school, and learn well. Powered by Team Balika (a network of 55,000+ community volunteers), we have mobilized over 2.2 million out-of-school girls and aim to impact 10 million learners by 2035.

🏆 In 2025, Educate Girls became the first organization in India to be honored with the prestigious Ramon Magsaysay Award.

We are launching an innovative 1-year pilot to close foundational gaps in Middle-Grade Mathematics and Science -a major driver of student disengagement and dropout, particularly among girls. The pilot introduces dedicated facilitators working alongside government school teachers to deliver activity-based, learner-centered education. The goal: generate the evidence, content, and frameworks needed to scale this model across India.

As the Program Officer, you will build this pilot from the ground up. This is primarily a program & pedagogical design role, combined with field operations, team management, evaluation, and government relations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program & Instructional Design: Lead the refinement of middle-grade Maths and Science instructional content, design facilitator training modules, and update classroom monitoring tools.
• Evaluation & Monitoring: Define M&E indicators, design student assessment instruments (including portfolio frameworks), and analyze pilot data to drive mid-course corrections.
• Operations & Field Delivery: Translate program designs into field-ready materials, manage day-to-day rollout in pilot schools, and troubleshoot field challenges.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage facilitators and field teams, fostering a coaching-focused work culture.
• Government & Stakeholder Liaison: Build strong relationships with district/state education officials to secure permissions, alignment, and long-term buy-in.
• Scale-Up Planning: Codify learnings, toolkits, and processes to prepare the pilot for multi-district expansion in Year 2.

• Experience: Strong background in pedagogy, learning design, curriculum development, or classroom-facing program delivery (preferably in middle-grade Maths/Science).
• Skills: Expertise in creating teaching-learning materials (TLMs), working with M&E/assessment frameworks, and leading field-level teams.
• Languages: Working proficiency in spoken and written Hindi is required.
• Mindset: Comfortable with the ambiguity of building a Year-1 pilot, highly adaptable, and skilled in government stakeholder management.
• Education: Open to candidates from any academic background—demonstrated field experience and practical pedagogical execution matter most.
