Position Summary

We are seeking experienced Progress OpenEdge Developers to join our Build Team in Mexico The successful candidates will be responsible for developing enhancing maintaining and supporting business critical applications built on the Progress OpenEdge platform This role requires strong technical expertise in Progress OpenEdge 102B Progress ABL4GL development and the ability to work effectively with legacy systems while supporting modernization initiatives

The ideal candidate will have experience working with MFGPRO or QAD ERP applications possess excellent troubleshooting skills and be comfortable collaborating with global teams in both English and Spanish speaking environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop enhance and maintain applications using Progress Open Edge 102B
• Develop and support solutions using Progress ABL4GL
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and functional solutions

Troubleshoot and resolve

o Progress runtime errors

o Compile errors

o Database connectivity issues

o Application performance and functionality problems

• Review understand and modify complex legacy code while ensuring application stability
• Collaborate with business analysts functional teams and stakeholders to deliver application enhancements and production fixes
• Participate in code reviews testing deployment activities and release management processes
• Follow established Software Development Lifecycle SDLC processes and development best practices
• Utilize source version control tools to manage code changes effectively
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to application modernization efforts

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Progress Open Edge 102B
• Strong proficiency in Progress ABL4GL development
• Experience working with MFGPRO and/or QAD ERP applications
• Experience supporting and enhancing enterprise scale business applications
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities
• Experience resolving database connectivity and application integration issues
• Ability to understand maintain and enhance legacy application codebases
• Experience working with version control systems and release management processes
• Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies and software engineering best practices

Education Experience

• Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
• 5 years of handson experience in Progress OpenEdge development
• Proven experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments
