Project Billing Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented billing professional to join our client's accounting team. This role will be responsible for supporting billing operations, invoicing activities, and related financial processes while partnering with internal teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and a positive customer experience.

This is a full-time remote position supporting a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage billing activities and ensure invoices are prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support billing processes and resolve discrepancies.
• Utilize multiple financial and billing systems to maintain accurate records and data integrity.
• Assist with reporting related to billing, revenue, and other financial metrics.
• Prepare customer invoices and supporting documentation as needed.
• Support cash application and other accounts receivable activities.
• Assist with audit requests and related documentation.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, or related accounting experience.
• Experience managing high-volume billing activities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with ERP, billing, or financial systems.
• Strong Excel and data management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
