THE SHORT VERSION
I'm a licensed contractor in Los Angeles specializing in home remodeling, repairs, and residential work orders. I'm looking for one person to own our project pipeline from the moment a client asks for something to the moment the work is scheduled and paid for.
Most of what we do is fast-moving: a bathroom remodel, a kitchen refresh, a repair work order, a punch list at a rental property. We handle a high volume of small-to-mid-size jobs, which means the pipeline is always full and always moving. That's why this role exists.
This is not a data entry job. You will decide what moves forward and what stalls. You'll write proposals that win work, chase the ones that go quiet, and make sure nothing sits untouched in a queue for a week. If you are the kind of person who cannot stand seeing an open item with no next step, this job will feel like it was written for you.
You'll also be one of the first users of a proposal platform we built ourselves — AI-assisted, photo-driven, designed to give clients pricing they can actually understand. Your job is to use it well and tell us how to make it better.

WHO WE ARE
Constractiva is a California-licensed General B contractor focused on home remodeling, residential repairs, and work orders across Los Angeles — bathrooms, kitchens, flooring, drywall, paint, and the steady stream of repair requests that come with managing residential property. We run real job sites and we build our own technology: a proposal platform that turns site photos and structured questions into transparent, itemized client pricing.
We are small, we move fast, and the person in this role will have more ownership in six months than most people get in three years somewhere larger.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN
THE PIPELINE (this is the core of the job)
You own the funnel and its conversion rate:
• New requests — respond same day, gather what's needed, get them moving
• Quotes — build proposals in our platform, send them out fast, make them clear
• Follow-up — when a quote goes quiet, you chase it. Day 3, day 7, day 14. You don't wait to be asked
• Approved work — coordinate with our field team to get it scheduled without gaps
• Invoicing — bill promptly and accurately when work completes
• Collections (first pass) — track what's outstanding and follow up until it's paid
You'll be measured on real numbers: how fast requests become quotes, what percentage of quotes get approved, how quickly approved work gets scheduled, and how fast we get paid.
PROPOSAL CREATION
• Use our AI-assisted platform to build itemized, transparent proposals from site photos and job details
• Ask the right follow-up questions — good proposals come from good inputs, and that's on you
• Review AI-generated output for accuracy before it reaches a client. You are the last set of eyes
• Communicate directly with clients about scope, options, and pricing
WORKING WITH OUR FIELD TEAM
Our maintenance coordinator is on job sites all day — recruiting, supervising, running crews. He cannot be in the admin system. That's you. You're his counterpart: he handles the ground, you handle everything else, and you sync daily so nothing falls between you.
PRODUCT FEEDBACK
You'll be in our platform every day. We want to know what's slow, what's confusing, what's missing. A few hours a week documenting that is part of the job, and it genuinely shapes what we build next.

WHO I'M LOOKING FOR
REQUIRED
• Residential construction or property maintenance background — you've worked for a remodeling contractor, a handyman or repair company, a property management maintenance team, a home warranty company, or in construction admin. You understand what a scope of work involves and roughly what things cost
• Fully bilingual, English and Spanish, written and spoken. You'll write client-facing proposals in English and talk to subcontractors in Spanish
• Genuinely comfortable with software — you learn new platforms quickly and don't need hand-holding
• Strong organizational discipline: you track dozens of open items without losing any
• Willing and able to follow up persistently. Some clients need to be pushed. That has to be okay with you
• Reliable high-speed internet, quiet work environment, and availability during Pacific Time business hours
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT
• Experience with Jobber, ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Buildertrend, AppFolio, or similar field service and property software
• Any experience writing or assembling repair and remodeling estimates or proposals
• Background in inside sales, client service, dispatch, or collections
• Familiarity with US residential construction and repair terminology, trades, and materials
WHAT WON'T WORK HERE
• Needing a fully defined process before you'll act
• Discomfort with follow-up or with clients who push back
• Treating this as an order-taking role — you're expected to drive the pipeline, not just record it

WHAT WE'RE OFFERING
REAL OWNERSHIP. You'll run our entire project pipeline. Not a slice of it — all of it.
REAL TECHNOLOGY. You'll work daily in a platform we're actively building, and your input will change it.
REAL GROWTH. As Constractiva grows, this role grows. The person who owns this well is the person we build the next layer of the team around.
COMPENSATION
• $2,000 – $2,500 USD per month, based on experience
• Performance fee tied to pipeline conversion and collections results
• Long-term, stable full-time engagement — we are hiring for years, not months

HOW TO APPLY
Send your CV and answers to these four questions. Please skip the standard cover letter — I'll read the answers.
1. Describe a remodeling project or repair job you helped coordinate. What was your specific role, and what went wrong?
2. A client received a quote nine days ago and hasn't responded. Walk me through exactly what you do.
3. Look at the photo of the damaged bathroom included in this posting. What questions would you need answered before you could price the repair?
4. What software have you used for work that frustrated you? Be specific about what was wrong and how you'd fix it.
