Project Coordinator Intern

Olive Tree Consulting Group

🇬🇧United Kingdom🏠Remote📁Operations & Admin
Is this job info correct?
We are seeking a Project Coordinator Intern to support our advisory team on a significant engagement with a major UK financial institution. In this role, you will help manage the administrative and organizational tasks that keep our consulting projects moving forward. This is a full-time, fully remote internship designed for someone who is exceptionally organized and eager to see how professional management advisory works from the inside.

About the role
The Project Coordinator Intern exists to support our consultants in helping leadership teams solve recurring management issues. Our work often focuses on the space between strategy and daily execution. This role is essential because it ensures that nothing is lost in translation during our consultations. We believe that memory is not a reliable management system, so your primary responsibility will be to help create and maintain the written records that support our partner's work. You will spend your time making sure that decisions are documented, ownership is clear, and the project rhythm is maintained. Working remotely, you will act as the organizational hub for the specific workstream involving our UK financial partner, ensuring that both our internal team and the client stay on track.

What you will do
  • Attend remote consultation sessions and take precise, clear notes that capture decisions and next steps.
  • Maintain the project schedule and ensure all team members are aware of upcoming deadlines and meetings.
  • Help track ownership by documenting who is responsible for specific tasks and following up when items remain open.
  • Organize digital files and project folders so that information is easy for any team member to find and use.
  • Assist in drafting status updates and summaries for our lead consultants to share with stakeholders.
  • Map out simple handoff points between different departments at the partner organization to improve clarity.
  • Support the team in formatting documents to ensure they are plain, professional, and easy to read.
  • Monitor the project rhythm, flagging any areas where communication or progress appears to be stalling.

What we are looking for
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to summarize complex discussions into simple points.
  • High level of attention to detail: you notice when a date is wrong or a name is misspelled.
  • Reliability and the ability to work independently within a fully remote structure.
  • A calm approach to managing tasks, even when priorities shift or timelines are tight.
  • Curiosity about how large organizations function and a desire to learn why certain management habits fail.
  • Professionalism when interacting with senior team members and external partners.
  • Honesty and directness: you are comfortable asking for clarification when a project instruction is unclear.

Helpful background
  • Previous experience using collaborative digital tools like Google Workspace, Slack, or Trello.
  • A background in a field that requires high organizational skills, such as business, communications, or public administration.
  • Experience managing schedules or coordinating events for university clubs, volunteer groups, or previous jobs.
  • A natural preference for keeping things tidy and organized in a digital environment.
  • The ability to handle confidential information with discretion and care.

What we offer
This is a paid internship. The pay is attractive and competitive for the role and your current level of experience. You will have the opportunity to work in a fully remote environment alongside seasoned consultants who value practical results over corporate jargon. This position offers a direct look into the world of management advisory, providing you with transferable skills in project coordination, documentation, and organizational habits. We focus on a quiet, focused management style that values your time and contributions without the need for excessive meetings.

About Olive Tree
Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear. These are rarely personality problems: they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company growth. We favor practical changes over large-scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own. The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow-up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
