Role Overview

They are looking for self-motivated Project Development Managers based in Denmark to drive their strategic expansion into independent asset development, investment, and operation. In this role, you will spearhead early-stage greenfield PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) opportunities, leading projects from initial site sourcing through permitting, PPA negotiation, and feasibility studies to financial close.

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Exploration & Origination: Conduct market intelligence and field surveys to identify and secure greenfield PV and BESS project opportunities. Maintain a dynamic regional pipeline ledger.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong commercial relationships with IPPs, industrial parks, mining operators, and AI Data Center developers.

• Permitting & Interconnection: Lead end-to-end local approval processes, including land rights acquisition, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), project registration, and grid connection permits.

• Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments covering local regulations, policy, grid capacity, land tenure, and FX exposure.

• Commercial Structuring & PPA Negotiation: Co-lead negotiations for core commercial terms in Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), joint ventures, and co-development models.

• Feasibility & Handover: Perform preliminary financial modeling, prepare feasibility reports for investment committee review, and coordinate handovers to project financing and engineering teams.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Economics, International Trade, or a related field.

• Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience in early-stage greenfield development or investment execution for PV and BESS projects.

• Industry Knowledge: Proven track record in site acquisition, permitting, IPP business models, basic PPA structures, grid interconnection, and project return analysis.

• Languages: Professional fluency in English (spoken & written). Proficiency in regional languages (e.g. Danish) is a strong plus.

• Mobility & Soft Skills: Strong negotiation and cross-cultural communication skills with a high execution drive. Willingness to travel frequently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PV + Energy Storage Systems (BESS), off-grid microgrids for industrial/mining sites, or dedicated renewable power solutions for high-density computing and AI data centers.
