Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Engineering Manager to be part of a bid to support a major FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) project. This role will be responsible for providing engineering leadership, technical coordination, planning, and execution support throughout the bid development phase, ensuring the proposed engineering solution is technically robust, commercially competitive, and aligned with client requirements. The successful candidate will lead a multi-discipline engineering team in the preparation of engineering deliverables, execution strategies, schedules, resource plans, risk assessments, and technical inputs required for a large-scale offshore FPSO development. Leadership & Engineering Management Lead the engineering function for a major FPSO project, ensuring alignment with client requirements, project objectives, and Wood execution strategies. Act as the primary engineering focal point between the Wood team, client representatives, partners, subcontractors, and key stakeholders. Coordinate the development of engineering execution plans, workshare strategies, resource plans, schedules, and engineering cost estimates required for the bid submission. Ensure technical solutions are safe, operable, constructible, maintainable, and aligned with project performance requirements. Lead the engineering team in the preparation and review of technical proposals, assumptions registers, design philosophies, and engineering deliverables supporting the bid. Provide leadership and direction to multi-discipline engineering teams including Process, Mechanical, Piping, Structural, Naval Architecture, Hull, Marine Systems, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecommunications, and Safety disciplines. FPSO Technical Leadership Ensure the proposed FPSO design integrates topsides facilities, hull systems, marine systems, utilities, safety systems, and offshore interfaces effectively. Coordinate technical inputs associated with FPSO modules, hull conversion or newbuild scope, mooring systems, risers, subsea interfaces, offloading systems, utilities, and accommodation facilities. Ensure engineering solutions address offshore operability, constructability, maintainability, reliability, and lifecycle performance requirements. Support evaluations of fabrication yard strategies, module transportation, integration, offshore installation, hook-up, commissioning, and start-up activities. Review and challenge technical assumptions to ensure the proposed solution is both technically robust and commercially competitive. Facilitate identification and management of discipline interfaces and third-party package interfaces throughout the bid process. Project Delivery & Commercial Support Develop and maintain engineering schedules aligned with overall bid milestones and client submission requirements. Support the development of project execution methodologies for FEED, EPC, EPCI, commissioning, and offshore execution phases. Ensure engineering estimates, staffing plans, and deliverable forecasts are accurate and aligned with the proposed execution strategy. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 15 years' experience in Oil & Gas, Offshore Energy, LNG, or Floating Production projects. Extensive experience delivering FPSO projects through Concept, FEED, EPC/EPCI, Commissioning, and Start-up phases. Previous experience as Project Engineering Manager, Engineering Manager, Lead Engineering Manager, or similar leadership role on major offshore developments. Experience supporting major bid and proposal activities for FPSO or offshore production facilities is highly desirable. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Demonstrated experience leading multi-discipline engineering teams on FPSO developments. Strong knowledge of topsides processing facilities, hull systems, marine systems, offshore structures, and subsea interfaces. Experience developing engineering execution strategies, resource plans, schedules, and engineering estimates for bid submissions. Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies including FEED, EPC, EPCM, EPCI, Brownfield and Greenfield developments. Familiarity with offshore classification requirements and applicable international codes and standards. Proven ability to manage technical risk and project interfaces across complex offshore developments. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costs, engineering budgets, and bid strategy development.
