Salary Range: $150,000.00 To $225,000.00 Annually Must be located near Twin Cities, MN area or open to relocating. This is a hybrid position that requires weekly in-office days at our office located in the Twin Cities. BUILD Renewables is a nationwide engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company with a dedicated focus on utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems. Learn more at www.buildrenew.com Position Overview The Project Executive provides executive level project and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction execution efforts while representing BUILD Renewables as the Client Relations Manager. This individual will be accountable for successful execution of : assigned projects, contract negotiations and risk mitigation, schedule management, engineering management and optimization initiatives, procurement processes, and margin improvement initiatives. Essential Functions Oversee estimates, schedules, constructability reviews, value engineering, procurement and project execution. Accountable for safety and quality on assigned projects. Develop relationships with vendors, suppliers, engineering partners, clients, and other internal departments to resolve issues during design and/or pre-bid phases. Manage communication with client during all phases of the project. Responsible for presentation of proposals to new and existing clients. Accountable for resolving the project risks and opportunities and communicating to executive leadership. Contribute to the development of contract agreements for vendors and subcontractors. Accountable for financial management of all projects to ensure profitability. Support change order process to include: negotiating, assessing cost and schedule impacts , and preparation of claims. Ability to interpret the project schedule to identify required equipment delivery dates, pricing, submittals, approval, and procurement schedules. Ensure procurement of major equipment is compliant with BUILD Renewables standards and contract requirements. Manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously through all phases. Lead business development efforts with current and potential clients. Develop high performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Management or Engineering. Five years of experience in a leadership role on utility scale renewable energy projects preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering , Construction Management or related field. Working knowledge of the entire construction process from design through project close-out for large commercial and industrial projects. Proven ability to provide solutions related to construction, sequencing , and staffing , and schedule restraints . Excellent oral and written communication skills possessing the ability to interact with all levels of personnel, owners, managers, subcontractors, and clients. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Blue Beam, Outlook, and related software programs. Knowledge of Procore and Auto CAD desired. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize workload. Highly detail-oriented. Must be self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency. Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record. Working Conditions Travel as required. Projects are nationally based. Construction Site Environment – physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noise levels. Office Environment – extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally. Exposure to all forms of weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, dry, humid, windy) for the entire work day .
