We are adding a Project Management Coordinator to our team to help us manage a new engagement with a Berlin-based logistics firm. This role focuses on the daily organization required to move a client from manual spreadsheet processes to a streamlined database system. As a remote member of our small team, you will be the link between our developers and the client, ensuring that we deliver the practical tools they need to run their business efficiently.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency that builds the tools teams actually use. We do not do flashy consumer apps or marketing sites. Instead, we focus on the practical stuff: admin panels, CRM integrations, and the database migrations that people usually try to avoid. Our clients come to us when they need to replace a sprawling spreadsheet with a real database or get their different software tools to finally talk to one another.
We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward. We provide fixed quotes before we start, we do weekly demos, and we hand over everything, the code, the documentation, and even walkthrough videos, when we are finished. We use reliable, well-tested technologies because we want the software we build to be stable and easy to maintain. We are a senior team of developers and designers who prefer solving real operational headaches over chasing the latest trends. This is a permanent, full-time position. The role is paid, and the pay is competitive for an entry-level position in the software services market.
The Role
In this role, you will spend your time coordinating the technical work our team performs for a Berlin-based logistics firm. You will not be expected to write code, but you will be responsible for tracking how the code is progressing. Your day-to-day will involve checking in with developers to see where they are with database migrations and ensuring the client has the information they need for our weekly demos.
You will help document the requirements for new admin panels and track the status of different tasks to ensure we meet our fixed-price commitments. This involves a lot of clear writing and careful tracking of small details. Since we are a fully remote company, you will manage these communications through shared documents, project boards, and video calls. You will be the person who makes sure that when a developer finishes a feature, the client knows how to use it and the documentation is updated accordingly.
What You Bring
We are looking for someone who is organized and enjoys keeping projects on track. Since this is an entry-level role, we do not require a long history in project management. We care more about your ability to communicate clearly and your willingness to learn how a software agency operates. You should be comfortable with the following:
- Writing clear, plain-English updates for both technical teams and non-technical clients.
- Keeping track of multiple tasks and deadlines without letting things slip through the cracks.
- Asking questions when technical terms are unclear so you can explain them simply to others.
- Using shared documents and digital tools to stay organized.
- Working independently in a remote environment where you manage your own schedule.
- Focusing on practical solutions rather than abstract theories.
- Collaborating with a small team where everyone is expected to contribute directly to the work.
Helpful Background
While this is an entry-level position, there are a few things that might make your start easier. If you have ever used a project tracking tool like GitHub, Trello, or Jira, that is useful. A basic understanding of how websites or databases work, even if just from a personal project or a short course, will help you follow our developers' conversations. Familiarity with the logistics industry or how freight and shipping companies operate would also be a plus given our current project. Most importantly, you should be someone who values getting things done and enjoys seeing a project through to completion.
Working at Pixel Systems
Working here looks different than at a large corporation. We do not have layers of management or long meetings about strategy. We focus on shipping software that solves problems for warehouse managers, operations teams, and logistics coordinators. Our team is small, which means you will see the immediate result of your coordination work. We value stability and reliability. We work fully remote, which gives you the flexibility to work from wherever you are most productive. We expect high-quality work, but we also respect your time outside of work hours. We are a group of professionals who take pride in building software that actually works and stays working for years to come.
We are a small team that values honesty and directness. We do not have room for office politics or complicated hierarchies. If you are looking for a place where you can learn the ropes of technical coordination while working on projects that have a clear, practical purpose, Pixel Systems is a good fit. We prefer solving real headaches over following the latest industry trends, and we look for people who share that same pragmatic outlook.
