The PMO will form a key part of a project team developing a portfolio of grid connection projects across Wales. The role will support our Project Managers and Senior Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle as the team seeks planning consent for critical infrastructure on the route to net zero, followed by construction and operation of the new grid network assets. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high growth business and play a key role in its continued success Key Responsibilities MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES For a portfolio of projects: Implement, maintain and support the projects development team in reporting to key stakeholders including the Board including compilation of KPI information in a clear and professional format. Manage the project governance framework to enable a structured approach, including support to established approvals processes. Maintain and monitor the established risk register, facilitating risk reviews and updates to mitigation measures. Maintain action logs, decision logs and issue registers as needed to support the project management. Manage and maintain cost planning, forecasting and budget management across multiple contracts and projects including cost reporting. Manage and maintain oversight and tracking of contract changes such as variations and early warnings. Maintain document filing structures and version control to support document management Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Knowledge & Skills Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Strong personal resilience and hugely adaptable to situations. Excellent organisational and governance skills. Highly proficient IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS project. Ability to confidently handle and co-ordinate inputs from team members. Knowledge in planning, risk as well as interface management, and cost control. Experience & Qualifications Experience in project management, commercial management and/or of the PMO function within a delivery organisation.
