Project Manager

Job Description Position Summary We are looking for a Programme Manager with a strong technical background in software development and cloud technologies, plus the negotiation and leadership skills to manage both clients and internal teams with judgment, knowing when to push back and when to give ground. You will lead technical projects across cross-functional teams (developers, data engineers, infrastructure specialists), ensuring delivery on time and with high quality. You'll drive delivery within Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban), working with technologies such as Python, cloud platforms (Azure), and deployment/orchestration pipelines. Experience in the telecom sector is a plus. The position is based in Spain, with a flexible working model depending on the team needs: remote, hybrid, or office-based. What You'll Work On Lead the end-to-end delivery of technical projects, coordinating developers, data engineers, and infrastructure specialists to ensure on-time, high-quality outcomes. Plan and run Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlogs, stand-ups, retrospectives) using tools such as Jira to keep delivery on track. Manage client relationships : negotiate scope, timelines, and expectations, deciding when to accommodate a request and when to hold the line to protect quality or delivery. Translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable project plans. Anticipate risks, dependencies, and blockers , and coordinate across teams to resolve them. Work closely with technical teams on solutions involving Python, cloud platforms (Azure), and deployment/orchestration pipelines, understanding trade-offs rather than just tracking tasks. Requirements Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering , or similar technical discipline. Minimum 5–7 years of professional experience in project management of software/technical projects. Solid experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and hands-on use of project-tracking tools such as Jira, including sprint planning, backlog management, and facilitating Agile ceremonies. Solid technical foundation : Python, application development practices, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and deployment/orchestration pipelines (e.g. Docker, CI/CD), enough to understand trade-offs and speak the same language as the technical team, not just track tasks. Strong client management skills : comfortable negotiating scope, timelines and expectations, with good judgment on when to accommodate a client request and when to hold the line to protect project quality or delivery. Proven experience leading and coordinating cross-functional/technical teams, same principle applied internally: knowing when to give the team flexibility and when to enforce a decision. Ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable project plans. High level of technical English and Spanish. It's a plus to have experience in telecom-sector projects.
