About The Role Systemex Automation is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) and lead the successful delivery of large-scale automation and robotics projects. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all phases of the projects under your responsibility, in accordance with Systemex's project governance framework. You will act as the central point of coordination between customers and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently while balancing cost, schedule, scope, quality, and customer satisfaction. This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills. What You'll Do Lead the planning and execution of large-scale automation and robotics projects, coordinating with engineering, production, purchasing, sales, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. Develop, implement, and monitor project schedules, budgets, resources, and forecasts, ensuring project milestones, costs, scope, and quality objectives are achieved. Manage project resources, including engineers and technicians through matrix management, while providing leadership, mentorship, and motivation to support project success. Identify and resolve technical, operational, and project-related challenges by working closely with customers and internal teams, using established and innovative problem-solving approaches and comparative analyses where appropriate. Oversee project development activities, including design, programming, specifications, assembly, commissioning, and technical documentation, ensuring alignment with project requirements. Prepare and present project budgets, forecasts, progress reports, and other updates to management while making timely decisions to keep projects on track. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, assess customer satisfaction, participate in commissioning activities, and identify potential business opportunities with existing customers. Ensure effective project governance and communication throughout the project lifecycle, acting as the primary point of accountability for project performance and stakeholder alignment. What You Bring 8+ years of project management experience, with proven success overseeing the full project development and delivery cycle; experience with automation, robotics, engineering, or other complex technical projects is highly valued. Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively within a team. Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, executives, and internal stakeholders. Fluency in French and good knowledge of English, both written and spoken, with strong communication skills in both languages. Dynamic, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and identify opportunities to grow business with customers; PMP certification is an asset. Proficiency in French is mandatory. Proficiency in English is also required in order to communicate effectively with internal clients and partners located outside of Quebec.
