Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager 3 - Clinical Research & Healthcare Programs to lead a national, multi-site clinical research consortium focused on improving outcomes for individuals with chronic kidney disease. This role provides operational leadership for a large pragmatic clinical trial and related stakeholder engagement, implementation science, and data coordination activities across multiple health systems and academic institutions. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with physician investigators, research coordinators, statisticians, data scientists, patient partners, and external collaborators to ensure the successful execution of study activities. Responsibilities include coordinating consortium operations, managing project timelines and deliverables, facilitating communication among participating sites and research cores, supporting regulatory and contractual activities, monitoring study progress, and ensuring compliance with sponsor requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex clinical research programs, multicenter studies, or grant-funded initiatives involving diverse stakeholders and geographically distributed teams. Experience in clinical trial operations, academic medicine, or healthcare research administration is strongly preferred. Pay The pay range for this position is $40.35 (entry-level qualifications) - $62.52 (highly experienced) The specific rate will depend upon the successful candidate’s specific qualifications and prior experience. Essential Functions of the Role Coordinate day-to-day operations of a national, multi-site clinical research consortium. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverable tracking systems. Facilitate communication and collaboration among investigators, research coordinators, data teams, stakeholder partners, and external collaborators. Organize and support Steering Committee, investigator, stakeholder, and site coordinator meetings, including agenda preparation, meeting minutes, and follow-up actions. Monitor study progress, enrollment performance, milestone achievement, and sponsor reporting requirements. Support implementation of study protocols across participating sites and assist with resolving operational challenges. Coordinate activities related to regulatory approvals, contracts, subawards, and data use agreements. Prepare reports, presentations, and project updates for investigators, sponsors, and oversight committees. Collaborate with finance and grants management teams to monitor project budgets and ensure compliance with sponsor requirements. Serve as a central point of contact for participating institutions and research partners. Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with organizational, regulatory, and sponsor policies. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of clinical project management related experience required. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Clinical Research, Business Administration, or related field. Experience supporting clinical research, healthcare operations, academic medicine, or grant-funded programs preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience managing multicenter clinical research studies, clinical trials, or research networks. Experience coordinating projects across multiple institutions or clinical sites. Experience with federally funded, foundation-funded, or industry-sponsored research programs. Experience working with physicians, principal investigators, research coordinators, and healthcare leadership. Experience in academic medicine, clinical research administration, or healthcare research operations. Knowledge of clinical research regulations, IRB processes, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
