Property Accountant (Remote)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Property Accountant to manage the financial reporting and accounting activities for a portfolio of residential and/or commercial properties. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial records, timely month-end close, and compliance with accounting standards while partnering closely with Property Managers and corporate leadership. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management. At least 2 years of Yardi experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles. Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP. Responsibilities Prepare monthly financial statements and complete month-end close. Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger, and balance sheet accounts. Record journal entries and maintain accurate financial records. Analyze financial results and investigate variances. Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities. Collaborate with Property Managers to ensure financial accuracy. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls. Contractor Agreement - Payment in USD. Flexible hours + 100% remote work.
