Freese and Nichols is seeking Public Infrastructure Management Consultant in Fort Worth, Texas or any Freese and Nichols location . As Public Infrastructure Management Consultant , you will advise public sector organizations on how to plan, maintain, improve, and fund the infrastructure systems their communities rely on every day. While being a member of our Infrastructure Management Consulting team, you will help clients make better decisions about water, wastewater, stormwater, roadway, facility, and other public infrastructure systems. We combine asset management principles, financial analysis, operational insight, and technology-driven solutions to help agencies meet service expectations, improve performance, manage risk, and make the best use of limited resources. What You’ll Do Lead consulting engagements that help municipalities, counties, airports, ports, utilities, universities, and other public agencies improve how they manage public infrastructure systems Advise clients on asset management programs, capital planning, lifecycle cost analysis, financial sustainability, service levels, and operational improvement Develop practical recommendations that help clients prioritize investments, manage risk, and align resources with community needs Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, quality, and client communication across multidisciplinary teams Translate technical, financial, and operational information into clear guidance for executive leaders, elected officials, and technical staff Support technology-enabled initiatives involving GIS, dashboards, computerized maintenance management systems, enterprise asset management systems, analytics tools, and decision-support models Help clients improve data quality, reporting, workflow efficiency, planning, and decision-making through implementable digital solutions Mentor and guide consultants, analysts, engineers, planners, financial professionals, and technology-focused team members Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, public administration, finance, data analytics, information systems, asset management, or a related field 10+ years experience consulting for municipalities, counties, utilities, airports, ports, public works departments, or other public sector infrastructure owners 3+ years experience leading consulting engagements from opportunity identification through delivery Strong understanding of infrastructure asset management principles, including lifecycle management, risk-based prioritization, levels of service, condition assessment, capital planning, and maintenance strategy Track-record delivering asset-management plans or business cases for infrastructure management; successful track record leading opportunity pursuits, including preparation of proposals. Strong written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills Preferred Master’s degree Institute of Asset Management (IAM) Certificate or similar asset management training Experience with public infrastructure systems, including water, wastewater, stormwater, roadways, facilities, or related asset classes Strong financial acumen in budgeting, capital planning, funding strategies, lifecycle cost analysis, financial forecasting, or infrastructure investment planning Experience implementing or advising on GIS, CMMS, EAM platforms, dashboards, analytics tools, or other technology-enabled asset management solutions About Freese and Nichols At the heart of our culture is our LEADS values ( L earn continuously, E ngage as family, A ct with integrity, D eliver quality, and S erve always).
