Is this job info correct?

We are a global digital agency comprised of strategists, creatives, media experts, data scientists, and engineers driven by one common purpose — accelerate business growth through marketing and digital transformation. Named a top 3% Google Premier Partner and recognized by Inc. 5000 and Adweek’s 75 Fastest Growing Companies, we’re constantly looking for “A” players to join our team. The rapid growth is attributed to our strongest asset — our people. Our teams are highly collaborative and work closely with each client to set clear goals and objectives so that we can deliver exceptional results. Mindgruve is a place where every opinion is valued. Not only will you be empowered to contribute ideas, but you will also play a key role in the execution and driving success for brands across a variety of industries. Sound fun? Perfect — you’ll fit right in. Mindgruve is seeking a Public Relations Supervisor to support the development, execution, and optimization of PR strategies across a diverse portfolio of clients — including a national brand in the building materials and outdoor living industry. This role is ideal for someone who’s a strong communicator, skilled media strategist, and natural storyteller. You’ll manage day-to-day public relations activities, contribute to planning and campaign execution, and collaborate closely with internal teams and agency partners to elevate brand visibility through earned media and influencer integration. We are prioritizing candidates located in or near San Diego, CA, as this role is expected to be in-office on a hybrid basis. What You'll Do Here: Develop and Execute PR Strategies: Support and manage programs that build brand awareness and drive business objectives across B2C and B2B audiences — including building materials, home improvement, and lifestyle sectors. Lead Media Relations: Pitch and secure meaningful earned coverage through proactive storytelling, media outreach, and product placement in national, trade, and regional publications. Manage Awards Submissions: Identify, prepare, and manage award nominations for clients, ensuring strategic alignment and visibility within key industry categories. Plan and Support Events/Expos: Coordinate and oversee PR activities for trade shows, expos, and media events, including press materials, onsite support, and media engagement. Support Brand Partnerships: Collaborate on cross-promotional opportunities and partnerships with other major brands or organizations to drive awareness and strengthen client positioning. Support Influencer Integration: Collaborate with influencer marketing leads to develop and manage creator partnerships that complement PR strategies and amplify brand storytelling. Campaign Planning & Execution: Contribute to quarterly and annual PR planning, ensuring alignment with brand goals, launches, and seasonal opportunities. Content Development: Draft and refine press releases, pitches, talking points, and bylined content to deliver clear, consistent messaging. Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze PR results, providing actionable insights and optimization recommendations. Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with creative, strategy, and media teams to ensure integrated, cross-channel communications. Mentor Junior Team Members: Provide guidance and feedback to coordinators and specialists, helping to grow the next generation of PR talent. We Need a Person With: 5+ years of public relations experience, preferably in building materials, home improvement, lifestyle, or outdoor living industries. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. Experience working at or with a PR/advertising agency. Experience working with Fortune 500 companies. Strong understanding of how PR integrates with influencer, digital marketing and brand strategy. Proven ability to secure earned media coverage in national consumer and trade publications. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with impeccable attention to detail. Experience supporting client accounts within an agency environment. Familiarity with PR tools such as Muck Rack, Cision, or Meltwater. Excellent organizational, presentation, and time management skills. Compensation: Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 (Pay range is based on a market reference point and potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, experience and geographic location of the individual candidate. The compensation range reflects base rate only.) Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Additionally, for eligible full-time employees, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance; a flexible spending account; voluntary life and accident plans; and a 401(k) retirement plan with matching. We have six office locations in the US: San Diego, California, Los Angeles, California, Covington, Kentucky, Denver, Colorado, Nashville, Tennessee and Charleston, South Carolina. We're seeking local candidates (or those open to relocation) who are able to work collaboratively with us in one of our office's; however, based on business needs and unique job functions, some roles may be eligible for remote work. (Bonus points if you’re bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese.) Mindgruve is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
