Role Description The Purchasing Representative is a full-time team member responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing and procurement activities to support reliable C-part supply for industrial customers. This hybrid role is based in Yokohama, with a mix of onsite work and some work from home as appropriate to business needs. Day-to-day tasks include creating and processing purchase orders, monitoring delivery schedules, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure on-time and accurate shipments. The role involves supporting contract negotiations, maintaining pricing and terms, and collaborating with internal teams such as logistics, sales, and customer service to align purchasing activities with customer requirements. The Purchasing Representative will track inventory levels, resolve supply issues, maintain accurate purchasing records in internal systems, and contribute to continuous improvement of sourcing and procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing and procurement, including managing Purchase Orders and supplier coordination.
• Skills in Contract Negotiation and basic understanding of commercial terms and conditions.
• Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Good analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing priorities independently while collaborating in cross-functional teams.
• Business-level proficiency in English; Japanese language skills are highly beneficial for local supplier and customer communication.
• Familiarity with ERP (SAP preferred) or purchasing systems and standard MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Relevant experience in industrial, manufacturing, or logistics environments and a background in business, supply chain, or a related field is an advantage. KO
