About The Role

Purchasing Specialist role supporting sourcing activities, category management, supplier relationship management, and transactional purchasing to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Executing sourcing activities in line with company directives
• Category management, using MRP
• Maintain business relationships with suppliers, negotiate and ensure the best pricing, and source alternative suppliers as required
• Transactional purchasing as required
• Expediting of open orders and keeping Orders and Due Dates up to date using the ERP system (ECI-M1)
• Conducting RFI/RFQ/RFP activities to meet business objectives
• Maintain accurate dates on all orders, liaise with local and overseas suppliers to ensure ETAs are met
• Define minimum stock levels/reorder points as per sales forecast and production requirements
• Actively liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Production, Sales, Engineering, Finance team members, Suppliers, and Freight Forwarders
• Comply with Workplace Health and Safety requirements and adhere to Quality Management System (QMS)
  
  

About You

• At least 3 years' experience in the procurement field, preferably in an agile engineering and manufacturing environment
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors)
• Strong negotiation skills
• Good computer skills with knowledge and experience in MS Office (Word, Excel), ERP Systems, and SharePoint
• High attention to detail and the ability to maintain a very high level of accuracy
• Good communication skills with proficiency in both verbal and written English
• Demonstrated problem resolution skills
• Good organisational skills
• An experienced team player who meets and exceeds team goals
• Self-motivated, positive, and willing to learn
