• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking with data / algorithm testing experience

• Proficient in backend and API testing

• Extensive Experience with Python automation (writing and maintaining tests)

• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or similar

• Strong SQL and database validation skills

Good to Have

• Azure DevOps CI/CD

• C# or TypeScript

Job Description

Python QA Engineer is responsible for validating backend services, data processing, and calculation logic that power the Nexus application.

Unlike UI-focused testing, this role emphasizes end-to-end data validation across services, APIs, and databases, ensuring that complex algorithms and backend workflows produce accurate and reliable results.

The QA engineer will work closely with developers, product owners, and data/analysis teams to ensure high-quality delivery in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Test backend services (e.g., Azure Functions)

• Validate data flow, calculations, and algorithm outputs

• Perform API testing (manual + automation)

• Execute SQL-based data validation across systems

• Create and execute test cases, regression, and defect tracking

• Maintain Python-based automation and support CI/CD pipelines
