Python Developer

Role Description

This remote contract role for a Python Developer involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and applications. The Python Developer will build and optimize APIs, integrate databases, and ensure scalability, performance, and security across systems. Daily responsibilities include writing clean, reusable code, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting and debugging issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product managers, QA, and other developers. The role also includes creating technical documentation, implementing best practices for testing and deployment, and contributing to continuous improvement of the development process.

• Candidates should possess strong Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills, with professional experience using Python in production environments.
• Candidates should possess skills in Back-End Web Development, including building RESTful APIs, integrating third-party services, and working with modern web frameworks.
• Candidates should possess Software Development skills, including version control (e.g., Git), testing strategies, and familiarity with agile or iterative development methodologies.
• Candidates should possess Databases skills, including designing schemas, writing efficient queries, and working with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with distributed teams.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (e.g., Docker), and CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
• Familiarity with security best practices, performance optimization, and monitoring tools is an advantage.
