QA Automation Engineer

Project Description The engineer will join the QA Automation practice and contribute to future client projects across different technology stacks. Assignments may include web and/or API test automation, manual testing, CI/CD, and collaboration with Agile teams and distributed stakeholders. Technologies Java / JavaScript / TypeScript / Python / C# Selenium WebDriver / Selenide / Playwright / Cypress / WebdriverIO Postman / Swagger / OpenAPI / REST Assured / Unirest / HTTP client libraries SQL Git Jenkins / GitLab CI/CD / GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps / CircleCI / TeamCity TestRail / Zephyr / Xray / QMetry / Qase Allure / ReportPortal What You'll Do Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests for web, API, backend, integration, and/or mobile applications; Analyze requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation to define appropriate test scenarios and coverage; Create and maintain test cases, checklists, test plans, regression suites, and other test documentation; Perform manual functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and integration testing; Develop automated UI and API tests using project-specific automation frameworks; Support and improve existing test automation frameworks; Analyze automated test results, investigate failures, and stabilize flaky tests; Report defects with clear reproduction steps and verify fixes; Prepare and maintain test data for manual and automated testing; Run automated tests locally and in CI/CD pipelines; Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, BAs, POs, DevOps engineers, and client stakeholders; Participate in Agile ceremonies, including planning, refinement, demos, retrospectives, and daily meetings; Suggest improvements to QA processes, automation coverage, and test reliability; Adapt to new tools, frameworks, and project-specific technologies as required; Job Requirements 3+ years of hands-on experience in QA automation; Practical automation experience with at least one mainstream programming language: Java / JavaScript / TypeScript / Python / C#; Experience creating and maintaining automated tests for web UI using Selenium WebDriver / Selenide / Playwright / Cypress / WebdriverIO or similar tools; Experience with REST API testing using Postman / Swagger / OpenAPI / REST Assured / Unirest / HTTP client libraries or similar; Basic SQL skills for test data preparation and data validation; Experience with Git and running and analyzing automated tests in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins / GitLab CI/CD / GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps / CircleCI / TeamCity or similar; Experience with Jira, at least one test management tool such as TestRail / Zephyr / Xray / QMetry / Qase, and test reporting tools such as Allure or ReportPortal; Experience using AI-assisted development or testing tools; Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, OOP principles, and test automation design patterns; Experience with manual testing and the ability to focus on manual testing based on project needs; Experience analyzing requirements and test results, creating and maintaining test documentation, including test cases, checklists, and regression plans; Experience writing clear defect reports, verifying fixes, and providing clear status updates; Experience working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban teams, communicating clearly with distributed teams, and participating in client or team meetings when needed; English level: B1+ or higher; Nice To Have Experience with more than one programming language for automation; Experience building automation frameworks from scratch; Experience with Docker or containerized test execution; Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure / AWS / GCP; Experience with mobile testing or mobile automation using Appium / XCUITest / Espresso / BrowserStack; Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter / k6 / Locust; Experience with BDD tools such as Cucumber / Gherkin; Experience with microservices testing; Experience with data or ETL testing; Experience in regulated domains such as healthcare, finance, insurance, or life sciences; What Do We Offer The global benefits package includes: Technical and non-technical training for professional and personal growth; Internal conferences and meetups to learn from industry experts; Support and mentorship from an experienced employee to help you professional grow and development; Health insurance; Sports activities to promote a healthy lifestyle; Flexible work options, including remote and hybrid opportunities; Referral program for bringing in new talent; Work anniversary program and additional vacation days.
