QA Automation Intern

QA Automation Intern Project description: Join a team developing a web-based smart water management platform used by business customers, including hotels, restaurants, and other commercial facilities. The system supports device monitoring, user access management, large-scale data analysis, and communication between the application and physical IoT devices as well as their simulators. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing within a real-world product environment, working closely with experienced QA engineers. Requirements: Basic knowledge of manual testing for web applications Basic exposure to Selenium and C# Understanding of Page Object Model (POM) and/or Component Object Model (COM) Basic familiarity with Postman, browser DevTools, and REST API testing Basic knowledge of Azure DevOps Familiarity with GitHub, YAML, and CI/CD concepts Ability to work effectively with incomplete or distributed documentation Strong analytical skills and willingness to clarify requirements independently Good command of English (spoken and written) Good communication and teamwork skills Availability to work in a Windows environment, as device simulators require Windows to operate correctly Nice to have: Experienced in using AI tools in day-to-day workflow Knowledge of IoT solutions Basic Linux/Unix skills Basic familiarity with testing mobile applications Basic SQL knowledge Basic exposure to testing physical devices that communicate with web applications Main responsibilities: Perform manual testing of a web application, including functional and UI testing Create, maintain, and execute test cases Test REST APIs using Postman Use browser DevTools to investigate issues and verify application behavior Verify communication between the web application and connected devices/simulators Develop and maintain automated tests using Selenium and C# Analyze automated test execution reports and update tests as the application evolves Work with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines Conduct exploratory testing of physical devices, often with limited documentation available Independently gather information from project documentation, historical requirements, and existing system behavior What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, digging into complex systems, and working in projects with a long development history.
