About The Role
What Will You Do? 🦾
As a
QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform. You will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing strategies, identifying and tracking defects, and improving overall test efficiency. Working closely with the QA team, developers, and product managers, you will help create a seamless and bug-free user experience. Your expertise in automation, CI/CD integration, and test planning will be essential in scaling our quality assurance processes as we grow.
Your Responsibilities
- Own the quality strategy for your product area: partner with Product Managers and Engineers to decide where to invest testing efforts, balance risk with speed, and define what "ready for production" really means.
- Functional automation testing: develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
- Test strategy & planning: define test strategies, plans, and test cases aligned with business needs.
- Bug Identification & reporting: track and prioritize defects to ensure resolution before release.
- Continuous improvement: refine testing processes and enhance efficiency.
- Mentoring developers: guide on writing testable code and best practices.
- CI/CD integration: embed automated tests in CI/CD pipelines to prevent regressions
What Are We Looking For? 👀
Must have
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing, with ownership of test strategy—not just test execution.
- Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining automated test frameworks, preferably with Playwright.
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript or TypeScript for test automation.
- Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Experience working in a B2B SaaS environment or in companies with a fast release cadence.
- Solid understanding of test planning, test strategy, and risk-based testing.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Experience with production monitoring, incident analysis, and post-mortems, with the ability to translate learnings into better quality practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, including log analysis and root cause investigation.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- A proactive ownership mindset, with the ability to work autonomously and drive quality best practices across the team.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Italian.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Basic to intermediate SQL skills for validating and investigating data.
- Experience using Jira (or similar tools) for bug tracking and defect management.
- Experience working with LLM-assisted engineering workflows or building internal AI-powered tooling.
- Previous experience in travel tech, hospitality, or pricing/revenue management products.
