Chenega Services & Federal Solutions, LLC , a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer and Tester . Will support enterprise‑level data, analytics, and application modernization efforts. This role is central to ensuring that mission‑critical public health systems are stable, intuitive, secure, and fully validated before deployment to CDC stakeholders. The selected engineer will be responsible for building automated test frameworks, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and driving continuous improvement across the entire QA lifecycle. The QA Engineer and Tester will work within a fast‑paced, agile environment, partnering closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA professionals to validate functionality, identify defects early, and ensure seamless delivery of high‑quality applications. This role requires deep expertise in automated testing, hands‑on programming skills, and the ability to architect scalable test environments using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Docker. The engineer will apply advanced testing techniques— including AI‑enhanced automation— to accelerate validation, expand coverage, and reduce manual testing overhead. Responsibilities Build and optimize robust automation frameworks for web applications and APIs, create scalable cloud‑based test environments (AWS, Azure, Docker), and implement AI‑enhanced testing approaches using tools like GitHub Copilot or Agentic UI Automation. Perform automated and manual testing—including regression, usability, UAT, and API validation—to ensure full end‑to‑end functionality and high‑quality system performance. Implement, refine, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines across Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket, or Jenkins to support seamless, reliable test automation and continuous delivery. Partner closely with developers, analysts, and QA teammates to define test strategies, document and communicate defects, track issue resolution, and continuously improve test coverage, frameworks, and team processes. Mentor junior QA staff, estimate testing efforts, share knowledge, maintain thorough test documentation, and ensure all applications meet established quality, compliance, functional, and performance benchmarks. Other duties as assigned Qualifications 4+ years designing and maintaining automation frameworks 4+ years programming/scripting (Python, Java, Groovy, SQL, Bash) 2+ years implementing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket, Jenkins) Experience executing automated API tests Experiencing designing and executing test plans within a web-based data platform Experience enabling scalable cloud test environments (AWS, Azure, Docker) Experience with AI‑powered QA (GitHub Copilot, Agentic UI Automation) Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements Bachelor’s degree Successfully pass background and drug screening. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with data pipelines or tools built in Palantir Foundry” Experience with MuleSoft, API platforms, or enterprise middleware Experience in human-centered design (HCD) and 508 compliance testing Experience with DevSecOps practices within LCNC ecosystems (pipelines, controlled deployments, automated testing) Experience working with federal customers or large digital service environments Final salary determination based on skill-set, qualifications, and approved funding.
