QA Engineer - Clearing / Financial / Risk

LOCATION Hybrid (Bucharest) DESCRIPTION Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for automated and manually testing existing and new products, designing and implementing automated tests, performing regression tests and managing defects. This role requires proficiency with one of the market standards automation frameworks (Selenium, Tricentis Tosca, Katalon, Test Studio, Test Complete, etc.) and Jira, as well as strong analytical and debugging skills. Main tasks of the role include (but not limited to): Maintain the test strategy of the team and suggests improvements to it, bringing his own expertise to testing team, promotes innovative technologies / tools to support software testing life cycle Coordinate the testing activities within the team (can act as point of contact for specific stream / projects) Analysis and interpretation of business / functional specification, carrying out response activities in terms of test cases design, for both manual and automated testing Elaborate and review comprehensive test cases and test conditions that would ensure adequate test, incl. test data preparation and maintenance, for both manual and automated testing Perform functional and non-functional testing execution, incl. no-regression testing using mainly automation tools, flexibly adapting to changing priorities, ensuring that resolved issues meet quality standards before moving to production Verify fixes for issues marked as Coding Done by developers during the Sprint Ensure defects are clearly and concisely documented, contributes to the overall quality of test deliverables Analyze and debug test failures, identifying root causes and reporting findings Interface with other teams such as Business / Technical Analysts, Developers, ServiceDesk and ensure proactive and effective escalation of the test team blockers for prompt resolution Produces test status reports using the provided format Actively participate in project meetings and shares knowledge and expertise, support and coordinates junior members of the team Qualifications & Competencies Degree in Information Technology or equivalent and at least 1-2 years of experience in software testing Proven experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role, with QA automation track record (i.e., experience with automation testing frameworks / tools for designing and implementing automated tests) Experience with manual web application testing Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, etc.) Familiarity with build tools (e.g., maven, gradle) and with continuous integrations and continuous deployment (Jenkins) Knowledge of version control tools (GIT) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Nice to have Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) Experience in testing products related to Clearing Markets is a plus Experience working in Agile Projects is a plus Benefits Professional development opportunities Flexible work hours and remote work options Employment Type Full-time job
