QA Engineer- Manual Tester

About the Position

We are seeking a QA Engineer with strong expertise in Manual Testing of Desktop and Web Applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality by validating application functionality, executing test cases, identifying and tracking defects, and collaborating closely with development, product, and business teams throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

This role requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, hands-on testing experience, and a solid understanding of Agile development practices.

What You'll Do

• Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, Integration, and End-to-End (E2E) testing for Desktop and Web Applications.
• Execute test cases, validate results, and log defects using Jira or similar defect-tracking tools.
• Perform API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
• Validate application data through SQL queries and database testing techniques.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure high-quality software deliveries.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Track defects throughout their lifecycle, verify fixes, and perform regression testing.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production Validation Testing.
• Contribute to test planning, test documentation, quality processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing of Desktop and Web Applications.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience in test case design, test execution, defect reporting, and defect lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience with Jira or similar test management and defect-tracking tools.
• Strong expertise in Functional, Regression, Smoke, and End-to-End Testing.
• Experience with API testing using Postman, Swagger, or equivalent tools.
• Good working knowledge of SQL for backend data validation and database testing.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Understanding of modern QA best practices and software quality assurance principles.
• Experience working in Agile product development environments.
