QA Engineer (TV Play)

TV services is one of Telia’s most exciting product areas. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a central role in ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of customer-facing TV services used daily by thousands of households. Working closely with developers, product owners, and fellow QA specialists, you will contribute to both manual and automated testing activities across multiple platforms and devices. What you'll do Test new Telia TV functionality across multiple platforms and devices Perform manual testing of Android applications, web applications, Smart TVs, set-top boxes, mobile phones, and tablets Create, execute, and maintain functional and non-functional test scenarios and test plans Develop and improve automated testing solutions using modern tools and frameworks such as WebdriverIO and Appium Analyze test results, production incidents, and monitoring data to identify risks and ensure service quality Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of QA processes, testing guidelines, and quality standards Collaborate closely with cross-functional Agile teams throughout the software development lifecycle Proactively identify edge cases, potential issues, and customer-impacting defects before release What will help you thrive in this role? We are looking for someone who has: 2+ years of experience testing web, Android, or iOS applications 2+ years of experience with automated testing, including creating, executing, and maintaining test scripts Strong understanding of QA methodologies and Agile software development practices Experience working in cross-functional and multi-team environments Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and collaboration skills Professional English proficiency The ability to think beyond the "happy path" and challenge solutions from a quality perspective It will be an advantage if you also have: Knowledge of TV platforms, content delivery systems, or set-top box technologies, Android TV or TV service ecosystems Linux knowledge Experience with performance testing, monitoring, analytics, and troubleshooting tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, Wireshark, or Splunk Join us to shape smarter living for people, businesses, and the planet At Telia, we're a team of 15,000 colleagues across the Nordics and Baltics, passionate about technology and connectivity.
