Wood is currently recruiting for a QA/QC Inspector to support our growing operations in Singapore. #LI-Onsite The Role The QAQC Inspector will ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. They conduct inspections, verify compliance, monitor testing activities, and document quality records to ensure the safe and successful delivery of the project. What we can offer Meaningful and interesting projects delivered to leaders of industry across renewable and emerging energy sectors Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion; we are an organization actively committed to diversity and inclusion across our business with employee networks committed to giving all employees a voice Competitive salary with regular salary reviews to ensure we are rewarding at the right level in line with the market Commitment to continued professional development; development plans that are tailored to your individual needs and interests Global connections: join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our profession Ensure that all construction contractors’ supervision and manpower are instructed and comply with all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) policy, site regulations, permit to work procedures and instructions and Client requirements Ensure that contractors working within his discipline adhere strictly to the latest Approved for Construction project drawings, Specifications, ITP’s, Procedures, Quality Plan and Site Instructions Responsible for the HSES and quality aspects of the work within assigned areas and for ensuring contractors complete their work in accordance with the project schedule Work with the contractors’ supervision, planning engineers and the Construction Engineer, develop detailed daily and weekly work plans in accordance with the overall planning schedule and Quality Plan Inform the Discipline Superintendent on specific areas where the programme needs to be adjusted in accordance with site conditions, quality plan and material deliveries are in accordance with preservation procedures Monitor the discipline and timekeeping of contractors’ staff and labor in a defined work area, identifying any disciplinary action required, NCR closed out and informing the relevant Discipline Superintendent Prioritize field execution sequence and resources when conflict arises Manage available resources well, optimally and demonstrate a high level of resourcefulness. Assist in organizing safety awareness activities such as toolbox meetings, all safety promotional activities, safety audits, safety meetings Assist in risk assessment job safety analysis, safety procedures/ checklists, safety records, and documentation Liaise with site operations staff and Construction Manager on all safety and health issues Overall, In-charge for piping activities on site, day to day bases and responsibility for the construction activity as per plan and schedule to meets to the client requirements and ensuring all scaffolding methods comply with Local and EHS policies. Monitoring the subcontractor daily erection, dismantling Modification of scaffolding. Advise and Construction Management Team of significant Experience via assignments or supervisory responsibility in most areas, including field engineering, project control, quality control, administration of contracts and subcontracts, craft supervision, field superintendence, safety, labor relations, maintenance, turnarounds and outages, commissioning and other applicable positions and functions. Knowledge and familiarity with the methods, practices, crafts, tools, equipment, codes, documents, drawings, specifications, requirements, functions and control systems of the engineering and construction business. Overall, a minimum of 10 years experience in the process and/or utility/power construction industry. Certification in various inspection craft highly preferred.
