Role Description This is a full-time QS/Estimator/Hybrid Legend role based in Ruakaka. We aren't a big business and with even more emphasis we don't act like one. We need someone with a team spirit but equal amounts of agency, and eagerness to jump into whatever that day or task brings. Good humans only, NDP. The role involves preparing estimates and cost plans, measuring quantities, and assisting with budgets and tender submissions for construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include analysing drawings and specifications, liaising with designers, subcontractors, and suppliers, and updating cost reports to support decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. The QS/Estimator will help manage variations, track project financial performance, and contribute to continuous improvement in pricing and processes. Collaboration with the site team and office staff is essential to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the expected quality standards. Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in quantity surveying or estimating within residential or commercial construction.
• Strong skills in cost planning, measurement, and tender preparation, including the ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with construction-related software (e.g., estimating and QS tools, MS Excel) and comfort working with digital documentation.
• Solid understanding of building materials, construction methods, and local building regulations or industry standards.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in cost and quantity calculations.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with designers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities, including the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment (office, site, and home), with a proactive and self-directed approach to managing tasks.
