The position will be part of Sapiens Property & Casualty Insurance for North America division, for more information about it, click here : https://sapiens.com/property-and-casualty-commercial-and-personal-lines/ Description The Quality Analyst validates business and system changes across insurance applications through disciplined manual testing, strong requirement interpretation, and reliable defect identification. This hands-on role improves release confidence and reduces production risk by translating requirements into effective, risk-aware coverage across user journeys, integrations, and data flows, while using Agile ways of working and approved AI-augmented tools to strengthen testing efficiency and software quality delivery. Key Responsibilities Design and execute manual test cases and end-to-end scenarios to validate business requirements, functional changes, and defect fixes across insurance applications. Translate UI flows, business rules, and written requirements into clear test conditions, expected results, and meaningful coverage across positive, negative, boundary, regression, and end-to-end scenarios. Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing within QA environments to improve release readiness and reduce defect leakage. Participate in requirement reviews, clarification discussions, and issue resolution meetings to ensure requirements are testable and implementation-ready. Identify, log, document, and track defects with sufficient detail to support timely triage, resolution, and retesting, while maintaining clear test procedures, evidence, and supporting documentation. Perform basic to intermediate SQL-based validation and validate UI, API, client-server, and file/XML-based flows where applicable, particularly in insurance transaction and policy-processing scenarios. Conduct impact analysis for change requests and collaborate with Business Analysts, developers, architects, and QA peers to improve quality outcomes across the delivery lifecycle. Follow established testing standards, defect management practices, and quality gates within Agile or iterative delivery models while continuing to build domain knowledge, product understanding, and QA discipline. Use approved AI/LLM tools to expand test scenarios, generate test data ideas, refine validation logic, or accelerate defect triage, while always validating outputs for accuracy and business-rule alignment. Contribute to testing in cloud-hosted or SaaS-style environments by validating configuration-driven changes, environment-specific behaviour, and release impacts across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production-like setups. Must Have Skills & Qualifications Experience & Background 3–5 years of hands-on experience in manual testing of enterprise applications. Experience in insurance products or insurance technology platforms preferred; broader policy, claims, billing, life, health, or annuity exposure is valuable. Experience working on client-server or enterprise applications with end-to-end business process validation and exposure to Agile or iterative delivery environments. Technical & Functional Skills Strong manual testing fundamentals across test design, regression, integration, and system testing, with the ability to convert business requirements into practical, risk-aware coverage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with enough technical understanding to identify defects, validate data flows, and assess upstream/downstream impact. Basic to intermediate SQL skills for multi-table validation, along with familiarity with Jira, ALM, or similar defect and test management tools. Exposure to API validation tools such as Postman or SoapUI and the ability to work with XML or similar structured test artifacts where required. Good understanding of test evidence, traceability, defect documentation, and how changes affect integrations and user outcomes in enterprise systems. AI-Related Expectations Use AI tools to generate or refine functional, edge-case, and negative test scenarios. Use AI support for test data ideas, SQL/query drafting, and early defect/log interpretation where appropriate. Validate AI-generated outputs for completeness, correctness, domain fit, hallucination risk, and business-rule alignment before using them. Follow approved privacy, security, and responsible-AI guidelines in all AI-assisted QA activities. SaaS & Cloud Awareness Understanding of environment-based testing across Dev, QA, UAT, and Production-like setups. Awareness of SaaS delivery concepts such as configuration-driven change, release cadence, integration dependencies, and multi-environment validation. Basic familiarity with how cloud-hosted applications can affect test planning, data setup, and release verification. Communication & Collaboration Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to ask clear requirement questions, surface ambiguities early, and work effectively with business, product, development, and architecture stakeholders. Strong documentation discipline and the ability to communicate defects, risks, and test outcomes with clarity. Education Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Personal Attributes Strong ownership mindset, disciplined execution, and structured problem-solving. Collaborative team player with a learning mindset who can balance rigor, speed, and practicality in a delivery environment. Preferred / Good to Have Exposure to API testing, installation/build validation, release-cycle support, XML-based transaction validation, and test automation tools or scripts is an advantage. Testing certifications such as ISTQB or equivalent and insurance certifications such as LOMA are preferred.
