Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

QA Automation Engineer - 6-12 months extendable contract

$20-30 USD per hour - Remote from Chile, no sponsorship, no third parties.

About the job

We are partnering with a client in the banking sector who is expanding their quality engineering function. The team is building out automated test coverage across a suite of customer-facing and internal platforms, and is looking for QA automation engineers who can own test design and execution end to end while working closely with developers in an agile delivery model.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test suites with Selenium WebDriver
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C# for test automation development
• Experience designing test frameworks (Page Object Model or similar) from the ground up
• API testing experience using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent
• Familiarity with test runners and BDD frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber)
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)
• Solid understanding of SQL for data validation and back-end verification
• Experience working in agile teams with defect tracking and test management tooling
• Strong written and spoken English for collaboration with a distributed team
