Daily Responsibilities Create, update and maintain software quality assurance’s test plans, suites and scripts for the implementation of procedures to complete quality assurance testing. Exclusively responsible for finding the bugs in the software Develop and implement procedures and test plans for assuring quality in a system development environment which supports databases and applications. Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application products. Write, implement, and report status for system test cases for testing. Analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports. Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Complete test cases to complete input validation as well as data verification Complete an assessment of how software development process is being implemented relative to the defined process and recommend methods to optimize the organization’s process. Ability to review, recommend improvements, on processes, procedures, and workflows Reporting to the Project Manager, regularly, with regard to the quality and condition of the testing Researching software products for feasibility and feature-set Requirements Must of a U.S. Citizen (no dual status), as mandated by our government client. Must possess an active public trust and be able to complete/pass/hold a secret security clearance. Must be local to the DMV area (Arlington VA). 8+ years of experience in the IT security field. 8+ years of professional experience in quality assurance is required. Must be able to design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system and business requirements are met. Expert QA knowledge is a must to evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies. Experience conducting QA audits, review and analysis of data and documentation. Expert knowledge and experience with Microsoft Test Manager (MTM) a major PLUS. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or 10 years of equivalent experience may be substituted for a 4-year degree. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. $80k - $95k.
