Quality Control Manager Full-Time • Remote About the Role LegalBillReview.com is on a mission to reshape how companies manage outside legal spend — and we’re growing fast. As a Quality Control Manager, you’ll be at the heart of that mission: the expert layer that ensures every legal bill analysis we deliver is sharp, defensible, and on point. This role is built for a mid-level attorney who thrived at a big firm, but is ready for something different — a high-impact position with real ownership, no billable hour pressure, and the freedom to work from wherever you do your best thinking. You’ll report directly to our Director of Outside Counsel Spend Analysis and play a key role in developing and elevating our team of Legal Analysts. What You’ll Do Complete a structured 6–8 week onboarding program through online content and regular sessions with the Director of Outside Spend Analysis and fellow QC Managers — so you’re set up to succeed from day one QA the legal bill analyses submitted by our Legal Analysts, verifying compliance with each client’s Outside Counsel Billing Guidelines Use our proprietary software platform to review, correct, and finalize analyses efficiently Sharpen and rewrite persuasive narratives explaining why specific charges are excessive or non-compliant — your words directly protect our clients’ bottom lines Verify the accuracy of expenses and disbursements with a critical eye Own your deadlines — this is a fast-moving environment and timely delivery matters Run monthly coaching sessions with your assigned Legal Analysts, helping them level up the quality and consistency of their work over time What You Bring U.S.-based licensed attorney in good standing with 5+ years at a large law firm that bills clients hourly Deep understanding of legal billing practices, law firm operations, and outside counsel guidelines An unwavering commitment to accuracy and ethical billing standards Tech-forward mindset — you’re highly proficient with software and genuinely curious about emerging tools Exceptional attention to detail paired with a healthy dose of professional skepticism Confidence working with large datasets and comfort with data entry at volume Strong interpersonal skills — you know how to give feedback that lands and influence without pushing Polished, persuasive writing skills that can make a complex billing argument feel airtight High ownership mentality — you’re the type who proofreads your own emails three times before hitting send Why LegalBillReview.com We’re a fast-growing, remote-first company that takes the work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously.
