M9 Solutions is seeking a Quantitative Engineer / Python Developer to work remotely in support of a contract for a client located in San Antonio, TX. Responsibilities Write quantitative and statistical functions in Python inside the client's existing plug-in framework. Build and validate models - signals, statistical analysis, quantitative methods applied to financial data. Run work against the framework's test suite and deliver against defined project scopes. Work on AWS-hosted infrastructure. Required Skills and Qualifications Work Authorization: US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status. 2+ years of experience writing Python for quantitative or statistical modeling - not scripting, not data cleaning, but building and applying models. Real depth in mathematics and statistics, including probability, distributions, regression, and time series; ability to explain methods used and the reasoning behind them. Applied experience working with financial or market data. Working knowledge of AWS. Ability to take a defined problem and run with it independently, with minimal oversight.
