Quantity Surveyor

Company Description W1 EPS is a general requirements contractor specialising in the delivery of servuces for data center projects throughout Europe and the Nordics.

Role Description The Quantity Surveyor will work in a full-time role, supporting the commercial management of construction projects from inception to completion. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and managing budgets, developing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), monitoring project costs, and producing regular cost reports for internal and client stakeholders. The role involves assessing contract variations, supporting procurement activities, valuing work done on site, and contributing to tender preparation and evaluation. The Quantity Surveyor will collaborate with project managers, design teams, and suppliers to ensure accurate cost planning and effective cost control throughout each project.

Qualifications

• Strong cost control and cost management skills, with the ability to monitor and manage project budgets effectively.
• Experience in BOQ preparation and cost planning to support bidding, procurement, and project delivery.
• Proficiency in cost reporting, including regular financial updates, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and commercial procedures.
• Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Competence in using industry-standard QS and spreadsheet software for measurement, costing, and reporting.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
