About The Role
Our
Balfour Beatty Highways business has an exciting opportunity for a
Receptionist to join our
£1.2 billion Lower Thames Crossing project.
The
Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) is one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects. LTC is a new road that will connect
Kent and
Essex through a tunnel beneath the
River Thames and will be the greenest road ever built in the UK - creating six times more green space than road. The reliable new route will almost
double road capacity over the river east of London to
reduce congestion and give millions of people more choice on where they live, work and spend their valuable time.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a team environment and takes pride in delivering a professional first impression. You will support the Facilities Manager while helping colleagues, visitors, supply chain partners and delivery partners feel welcomed, informed and supported.
What you'll be doing
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Facilities Manager.
- Delivering general facilities management administration duties.
- Covering reception and ensuring the front-of-house area runs smoothly.
- Welcoming visitors to the project office and issuing visitor passes.
- Managing meeting room bookings and supporting office coordination.
- Helping with additional ad hoc duties to support the wider project team.
Who we're looking for
- Friendly, personable and professional, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Positive and enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude.
- Enjoys working as part of a team and supporting others.
- Confident using initiative and managing competing priorities in a busy office environment.
- Good organisational skills and a practical approach to administration.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Experience in reception, office support or facilities administration would be helpful.
- Proactive, reliable and willing to support the wider team.
