This role plays a critical part in maintaining high-quality recruitment processes and fostering a collaborative, results-driven team environment. The Recruiting Lead is responsible to recruit and hire qualified driver applicants while leading a team of recruiters to meet and exceed recruiting goals. This role acts as a liaison between the Recruiting Manager and recruiting staff. Position Functions: Provide daily oversight of the driver recruiter team, managing workflows such as candidate pipelines, workbaskets, phone queues, courtesy calls, and applicant tracking. Review and audit driver application files to ensure compliance and quality, offering guidance on eligibility and hiring standards. Support the onboarding and training of new driver recruiters, as well as ongoing training initiatives for existing team members. Achieve individual and team recruitment goals by effectively managing performance against established KPIs and metrics. Act as a liaison between the Recruiting Manager and the recruiter team, ensuring open communication, accountability, and alignment with organizational objectives. Deliver timely execution of action items and recruiting initiatives. Lead and support recruitment-related projects and administrative tasks as assigned. Promote and maintain a positive, high-performance team culture through active engagement and leadership. Display enthusiasm, motivation, and professionalism in all team interactions and responsibilities. Partner with recruiting leadership on various strategic and operational initiatives. Provide coaching and performance management, including development plans, call reviews, performance improvement strategies, and, when necessary, employment separations. Ensure the recruiting department operates efficiently, effectively, and in a cost-conscious manner. Collaborate in-person with all levels of the organization to harness collective intelligence of the workforce. Attend all in-person meetings and trainings on recent developments, goals, and objectives. Participate in such discussions by offering input and advice. Regularly engage remotely and in-person with customers and potential customers to establish rapport, open communication, and expectations. What We’re Looking For: Education High school diploma or GED equivalent required Experience 2-5 years of experience in high-volume recruiting required 3+ years of experience in supervising required Track record of delivering results Transportation, Logistics, and/or Tech industry experience a plus Skills & Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to interact with personnel in all departments and at all levels Sound judgment and problem-solving skills Ability for multi-tasking and time management Adept at assessing organizational dynamics and managing change Works quickly and efficiently.
