Recruiter — Mass Hiring of Call Center Operators

Unateus is expanding its Call Center operations across Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa and Kenya.

We are looking for an experienced Recruiter who knows how to hire people at scale — not just find candidates, but consistently identify people who can become strong Call Center Operators.

The challenge is simple to describe and difficult to execute:

We need a large number of good people, quickly, without sacrificing quality.

You will join a recruitment team responsible for building this talent flow.

• Recruit Call Center Operators in high volumes.
• Find new and effective sources of candidates.
• Screen and interview candidates and identify genuine potential.
• Keep candidates engaged throughout the hiring process.
• Work closely with the Recruitment Team Lead and Call Center management.
• Understand why some candidates succeed while others fail during training or after joining.
• Improve recruitment methods when the quality or volume of candidates is not good enough.
• Keep accurate recruitment records and report results.

This is a hands-on recruitment position. You will personally recruit, interview, follow up and solve recruitment problems.

Mass recruitment is very different from recruiting one specialist for a corporate position.

You may have hundreds of applicants and still struggle to find the right people.

The real challenge is to recognise talent quickly, find candidates in the right places, understand what motivates them, and build a reliable flow of people who are capable of succeeding in a demanding Call Center environment.

We are looking for someone who enjoys solving exactly these kinds of problems.

You will be a strong candidate if you have experience with:

• mass recruitment;
• Call Center or BPO recruitment;
• telesales or customer-service recruitment;
• sales or other high-volume frontline hiring;
• recruitment agencies handling large candidate volumes.

We are especially interested in recruiters who can demonstrate real results:

• how many people you recruited;
• how quickly you could fill positions;
• what types of roles you handled;
• which sourcing methods worked for you;
• what recruitment challenges you solved;
• what made your strongest hires successful.

You do not need to have worked in exactly the same industry.

But you should know the difference between finding applicants and finding people who can actually perform the job.

Professional judgement. You know how to recognise a potentially strong candidate.

Speed. You can work with high volumes without losing focus.

Quality. You care about who joins the company, not only about filling vacancies.

Ownership. When recruitment is difficult, you look for the reason and a solution.

Practical thinking. You work with facts, results and real candidate behaviour.

Communication. You know how to build trust with candidates and represent the company professionally.
