Recycling Intelligence Analyst

We are looking for an analyst to join our team and support the development of our unique database while documenting key developments in the world of recycling. This is an opportunity to be part of a motivated and skilled team that works with some of the world’s largest companies at the highest levels, providing them with essential intelligence.

This will be your job:

• You will be gathering data by desk-research, direct contact with specialists, using automated monitoring tools and connecting with our Veolia colleagues around the globe.
• Transform this data into valuable information for our Recycling Intelligence team.
• Together with your colleagues, you take co-ownership, pro-actively update information and add additional interesting topics for our customers.
• Support the ongoing development and refinement of our methodologies, ensuring our approach remains industry-leading.
• Ensure our data aligns with the latest standards in recyclability assessments, LCA (Life Cycle Assessment), and compliance reporting.
• Support the development of partnerships with organizations that use our data for reporting, LCA, compliance, and decision-making.
• Identify and engage with 3rd parties that can benefit from our insights.
• You identify business opportunities, to grow the business further.

You will be working in an enthusiastic international team. Core language in the team and with customers is English.

This is what you will bring to the team:

• University (or applied sciences) degree and at least 2 years working experience in a field relevant to recycling.
• Professional writing & communication skills in English, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences, including technical reports, presentations, and policy summaries.
• You are a confident researcher and can understand the nuances of detailed information.
• Comfort working across different regulatory and cultural contexts.
• A proactive nature and keen to learn new skills and information.
• Strong attention to detail & commitment to high quality of work.
• Comfort presenting insights and recommendations.
• You are based in either France, Spain, Germany, Belgium, United Kingdom, or The Netherlands.
• Nice to haves: Experience with enterprise systems (Oracle, SAP), methodology documentation (LCA, Annual reporting standards), data visualization and analysis tools, AI.
