As the Regional Director of Pharmacy , you will be responsible for the oversight of all OTP facility pharmacies, following all the state and federal regulations. The job entails a high level of responsibility and knowledge. The Regional Director of Pharmacy has the expertise and willingness to assist and manage all site pharmacists and provide them with information and solutions. Requirements: Current Pharmacist license in Georgia Experience as a PIC in Georgia. Valid driver’s license in good standing Ability to travel up to 50% as needed including overnight Responsibilities: Oversee the pharmacy program, direct, review, maintain, and rectify pharmacy operating procedures to include safety and security processes. Maintain complete and accurate records and complete pharmacy variances as needed. Monitor, control, and maintain inventory of medications and supplies needed. Responsible for the safe and efficient distribution, control, and accountability for all medication. Reconcile the medication inventory monthly and maintain reconciliation reports. Assumes responsibility for the preparation (verifying doses, pre-pouring all take home medications, labeling all take home medications, and sign off for distribution) of all take home medication for persons who have earned such privileges. Secure opioid medication by restricting access to medication areas. Assure all medication is properly stored, secure, and within date. Ensure all medication is administered and dispensed based on a physician order. Ensure receiving and handling the medication complies with all state and federal laws and DEA 222 forms (CSOS and paper forms where applicable) and packing slips are completed accurately and filed for record. Ensure completed packing slips are scanned to vendor for record of receipt. Ensure biennial inventories are performed accurately and timely by the PIC as required by the DEA. Ensure monthly inventories are performed accurately and in a timely manner by the PIC as required by the Georgia Board of Pharmacy. Ensure Initial inventories are performed accurately when required with OTP acquisition or De Novo. Provide direction and supervision to pharmacy personnel with some overnight travel. Ensure that all support teammates will be trained in the matters of an opioid treatment program clinic pharmacy. Maintain compliance with PTC policies and procedures, DEA, State regulatory bodies and the Board of Pharmacy guidelines and reporting standards. Oversees quality assurance of the pharmacies including monthly review of incident reports. Ensures pump maintenance and accuracy checks are performed as required at all sites. Attend ongoing training per program/Federal/State requirements. Assist in hiring of pharmacists for GA OTP clinics. Complete quarterly review of each GA OTP pharmacy. Responsible for training new pharmacists for the GA OTP clinics. Ensure that all pharmacists and pharmacy technician licenses have been renewed. Supervise and oversee the pharmacists and pharmacy technicians for GA OTP clinics. Assist in providing coverage for GA pharmacists. Attend Board of Pharmacy and DEA inspections when possible Assist Corporate Pharmacist with audit reviews. Provide training to the team as needed. Assist with policy review. Other duties as assigned.
