As a Regional Manager, you will oversee 7-10 jail kitchens where you will be responsible for coaching and providing leadership to each kitchen’s management team to aid them in operating a successful and profitable site, taking weekly or bi-weekly inventories, ordering food and other kitchen items, and weekly reporting to corporate office staff. Excellent customer service and food quality should be the goal of every team member. You will report directly to the President of the company. Our Regional Managers are not afraid to get their hands dirty. When they see that help is needed at a unit, they do what it takes to get the job done. Job Details: Working with the kitchen management teams (County employees) at assigned units. Demonstrate sound customer service principles to all unit team members, including direct customer contact to resolve issues. Establish goals to meet company objectives. Identify needs of each facility. Monitor/manage unit staffing levels and occasionally offer hands on support when needed. Make monthly “surprise” visits to each location for quality control checks. Take weekly or bi-weekly inventories at each unit. Monitor performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement and work directly with facility managers and jail administration to achieve goals for improvement. Verify weekly sales figures, inventories, and other data in order to detect issues as quickly as possible. Communicate regularly with Corporate Office staff regarding weekly accounting paperwork, etc. Make sure that all paperwork done in the field is correct and sent through the proper channels on a timely basis. Qualified candidate will have the following abilities and traits: High level of integrity Working knowledge of key performance and reporting indicators Ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations/environments Ability to work in a correctional environment using inmate trustee labor (only non-violent offenders) Proactive management style Strong customer service skills Above average organizational and time management skills Strong oral and written communication skills Team leader/builder/player Effective training skills Ability to analyze and solve problems quickly Unafraid to ask for assistance if needed Travel is required Qualifications: Institutional food service (preferably cafeteria or correctional) Must have a valid Driver License and clean driving record. Must be able to pass multiple criminal background checks and drug test. Minimum 5 years multi-unit management and/or industrial food service experience required. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word. Above average knowledge of computers (PC) and peripheral equipment. Starting salary of $65K to 75K/year, depending on experience Paid Personal/sick time Paid Holidays after six months Paid Vacation after one year 401k Plan Health, Dental, and Vision, after 90 days Company Car, laptop, and cell phone provided Special consideration will be given to applicants who are veterans.
