Ulink Assist is a Singapore-headquartered regional medical assistance and healthcare operations company supporting insurers, brokers, TPAs and healthcare partners across Asia. www.UlinkAssist.com
We are hiring a Regional Medical Claims Lead – Cost Containment & AI to strengthen medical claims performance, improve cost containment and deploy practical AI-enabled improvements across regional claims operations.
This role is for someone who has owned claims outcomes, led people, improved workflows and delivered measurable operating results. You will work with senior management, operations, medical, finance, provider network and technology teams to improve how medical claims are assessed, controlled, processed and reported.
What you will own
- Lead regional medical claims performance across assigned programmes, including turnaround time, backlog, SLA achievement, productivity, claims quality and audit outcomes.
- Manage distributed claims teams and set clear expectations on workload, accuracy, productivity, escalation and follow-through.
- Strengthen medical cost containment through hospital bill review, pre-authorisation, medical-necessity review, provider negotiation, fee benchmarking, leakage control and savings reporting.
- Identify recurring claims issues and convert them into better workflows, SOPs, controls, approval rules, training and system requirements.
- Implement AI and automation in live claims workflows, including document extraction, claims summarisation, triage, QA checks, duplicate detection, anomaly review and exception handling.
- Work with technology and operations teams on claims-system enhancements, user testing and controlled rollout of new processes.
- Prepare clear claims reporting for management, insurers, TPAs and clients, including performance issues, root causes, corrective actions and measurable results.
What we are looking for
- 10–15+ years of experience in medical, health, employee benefits, travel medical, managed care, insurance assistance or TPA claims.
- 5+ years leading claims teams or claims operations, with direct responsibility for SLA, backlog, turnaround time, quality, productivity and operating controls.
- Proven medical cost-containment experience, with measurable results in areas such as bill review, pre-authorisation, medical-necessity review, provider negotiation, fraud/waste/abuse control or claims leakage reduction.
- Hands-on experience implementing or materially shaping AI, automation or workflow technology in a live claims or healthcare operations environment.
- Strong understanding of claims controls, approval authority, audit findings, exception handling, claims leakage risk and operational risk.
- Ability to manage distributed teams remotely and hold people accountable without relying on office presence.
- Strong written and spoken English, including the ability to communicate clearly with Singapore-based management, insurers, TPAs and clients.
- Comfortable working across countries, functions and seniority levels.
This role is likely suited to you if
- You have led claims operations at scale and can show actual operating results.
- You understand medical claims from both a control perspective and a cost-containment perspective.
- You can move between claims files, medical bills, operating dashboards, team performance and client discussions.
- You are practical about AI: you understand where it helps, where it creates risk and where human judgement remains necessary.
- You prefer ownership, execution and measurable improvement over maintaining legacy workflows.
Why join Ulink
- Fully remote role within Indonesia.
- Regional scope across medical assistance, TPA and cross-border healthcare operations.
- Direct access to senior management and decision-making.
- Ownership of claims performance, medical cost containment and AI implementation.
- Opportunity to improve a live regional claims operating model, not simply maintain an existing queue.
- Exposure to insurers, TPAs, healthcare providers and regional healthcare operations across Asia.
The role requires reliable remote working discipline and regular overlap with Singapore business hours.
