Job Purpose Lead regional payroll operations across North America while supporting global payroll and time transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and employee-focused payroll delivery across multiple countries and legal entities, while driving standardization, governance, process improvements, and payroll transformation efforts. The Payroll Manager will lead a regional team, partner closely with HR, Finance, IT, Legal, Tax, Benefits, vendors, and business leaders, and serve as a key subject matter expert for global time system rollouts. The ideal candidate combines strong North America payroll leadership experience with a global payroll perspective and the ability to balance operational excellence, compliance, stakeholder engagement, and change management Job Description Lead end-to-end payroll operations across the NAM region, ensuring accurate, timely, compliant payroll delivery aligned with KPIs, SLAs, controls, and service expectations. Drive global project on time solution deployment in framework of internal ERP program. This involves curating global template of time management process for payroll as well as project requirements and striking right balance between local legislative requirements and global template. Manage, coach, and develop the regional payroll team, reinforcing accountability, technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Oversee payroll processing, tax reporting, deductions, garnishments, reconciliations, funding, payroll accounting, management reporting, and procedure documentation. Ensure payroll compliance with company policies, internal controls, labor laws, tax regulations, and federal, state, provincial, and local requirements across supported countries. Drive payroll process improvement, standardization, automation, and technology adoption to improve efficiency, accuracy, compliance, scalability, and employee experience. Serve as the regional payroll subject matter expert for the global time project, ensuring country requirements, pay rules, compliance needs, and operational impacts are reflected in global design decisions. Review country-specific time and payroll requirements against the global standard, identify gaps or risks, and partner with the global project team on solutions. Escalate and mitigate payroll and time-related project risks, driving practical, solution-oriented decisions that balance global standardization with local compliance. For this position we are not sponsoring or taking over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time Contribute to global payroll strategy by identifying opportunities to strengthen governance, simplify processes, improve data quality, reduce manual work, and support scalable service delivery. Build and maintain payroll knowledge resources, operating procedures, backup plans, and risk mitigation strategies to support continuity and reduce key-person dependency. Lead change management for payroll and time initiatives by engaging stakeholders, clarifying impacts, supporting readiness, and ensuring smooth adoption. Manage payroll vendor relationships, monitor service delivery, evaluate performance, and resolve escalated issues. Partner with HR Data Management, HRIS/IT, Finance, Treasury, Benefits, HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, vendors, and business leaders to resolve issues and support integrated payroll and time processes. Prepare payroll and time updates, reports, reconciliations, audit responses, project status updates, risks, and analysis for HR leadership and key stakeholders. Support quarterly, year-end, special payroll, expatriate, mobility, termination, and other time-sensitive payroll activities as required. You are meant for this job if: 10+ years of payroll experience supporting large, complex, multi-state, multi-country, and multi-jurisdictional payrolls. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business, or a related field; FPC or CPP preferred. 5+ years of people leadership experience, including leading teams through change or transformation. Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll tax, payroll administration, compliance, internal controls, and payroll operations; broader Americas payroll exposure preferred. Experience supporting payroll across multiple legal entities, pay groups, payroll calendars, and employee populations. Experience with global payroll strategy, operating model design, governance, standardization, vendor consolidation, or payroll transformation. Experience supporting or leading time and attendance, workforce management, or global time system implementations preferred. Strong understanding of time data, pay rules, absences, overtime, premiums, approvals, integrations, and payroll calculations. Experience with ADP, SAP, SuccessFactors, Workforce Software, or similar payroll, HRIS, and time platforms preferred. Strong vendor management, stakeholder management, communication, issue resolution, and escalation skills. Strategic, detail-oriented problem solver with strong customer focus, governance mindset, and continuous improvement orientation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; ability to travel up to 10% as required. WORK ARRANGEMENT: This role follows a hybrid work schedule with four (4) days in office and one (1) remote/flex day. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position operates in a professional office environment and requires frequent computer use, collaboration across teams and stakeholders, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and ongoing change.
