Position Summary The Regional Safety Manager is responsible for development, implementation, and management of all safety programs across multiple job sites throughout California. This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a proactive safety culture aligned with LEED Electric’s high standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with hands-on field experience in commercial or industrial electrical environments. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong safety record on prior projects, extensive knowledge of safety regulations and a proactive approach to risk management. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all regional safety initiatives across multiple job sites Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures Conduct regular job site safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure safety regulation compliance. Routinely monitor the workforce for unsafe behaviors and coach employees on the correct behaviors when observed. Develop and execute a comprehensive safety strategy aligned with company and project goals. Develop environmental and safety training materials. Track training records and all safety training initiatives conducted in house or by outside consultants. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; implement corrective actions. Interface with OSHA officials/inspectors in the event of a site visit. Partner with project managers and field leadership to promote safe work practices Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation Monitor and enforce PPE usage and safety protocols PPE usage and safety protocols Stay current on industry regulations and best practices Drive continuous improvement in safety performance and culture EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED 10+ years of safety management experience in construction, preferably electrical contracting Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations Experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical projects OSHA 30 certification required (CHST, CSP, or equivalent preferred) Proven ability to lead, influence, and train teams across multiple locations Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Corporate office is in Santa Fe Springs. Must be able to travel throughout Southern California and Central California. Flexible working hours, which may include some evenings and occasional weekends. Abilities Required Industry ISNetworld compliance software and procedures or similar a plus. In-depth knowledge of the NFPA/NEC codes. Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures. Capable of identifying known/potential exposures and recommending corrective actions. Certifications to train employees are preferred. (i.e. forklift, anti-harassment, CPR/First Aid, etc.) Business Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Bluebeam Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Procore required. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary. Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude. Problem-solving skills with a proven ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and discretion. Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees and others. WORKING CONDITIONS Working conditions will be split between in office and outdoors on site as needed. May be sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending. Must be able to work in various outdoor environments and on construction sites. At a job site, possible exposure to potentially hazardous conditions. The noise level is usually low to medium in office; it can be loud on a job site. Must be able to lift and carry safety equipment as necessary. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. The posted range represents the company’s good faith estimate of the base salary range for this role at the time of posting. Compensation will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, qualifications, skills, work location, union environment experience, and internal equity. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation, including bonuses, incentives, and benefits, where applicable.
